Also, until people know where they’re sitting, Category 7 to me if it’s in M33 is far better than higher categories in the top deck!

Not sure why M33 is Cat 7, i sat there behind the cheer squad for the 2018 prelim, it was awesome, the atmosphere is amazing, i'll take that over Q32 right up the back, which is my seat for the granny.

Yeah I had that for the 2018 GF and it was amazing. Incredible value Category 7 seating.

I guess its Cat 7 because whenever there was a set shot at the Ponsford end, the banners people were holding up blocked most of the view. Which is only an issue for a very small percentage the game.

Last year it was in the 50m arc at the Punt Rd end (from memory)

I know 2010 it was at the City End forward 50m arc.

My guess based on that is that they'll do the presentations in the 50m arc of the winning team, so that the cheer squad and club colours are in the background.

*Should Collingwood FC make the Grand Final, the allocation for P1 members will be balloted first. Once the P1 ballot is complete, the P2 ballot will commence. If tickets remain at the conclusion of the P2 ballot, the P3 ballot will commence.

This is the communication that Collingwood sent out for ballot registration. It definitely does say that P1 will be completed first before moving to other tiers. Yet some P1’s didn’t get seats when lower levels did.

Yes, because the allocation is random. It does not guarantee you a seat. Ideally, it would allocate based on best seat available.

Ticketek have said they have distributed the tickets according to the wishes of Collingwood FC, the AFL and the MCG.

The Collingwood Football Club, AFL & MCG are not in control of the internal systems Ticketek use to randomly allocate tickets. Anyone that has ever used Ticketek can't be surprised it's such a shit show.

I think its just because you have all the flags and pom poms in front of you plus the cheering. Iknow here in Perth behind goals are the cheapest seats.

It may have been a fraud prevention thing. Sometimes transactions are automatically blocked because it is outside the normal spending on the account.

Call Ticketek and discuss it with them.
