Nervous times as another family member was managing the ballot, but 3 Category 3 seats secured. Very happy with that.

Speaking to some members who are long time members and pay the big dollars, they nominate a category and either accept that they will get that area (not seat) then get somewhere else similar. I think they are entitled to whinge when they hear or read that a lower membership gets a better area than them. Level 4 is not the same as Level 1.

Shouldn't be that hard for Ticketek to organise otherwise why do they get supporters to nominate a section?

Someone mentioned in this thread that there might be a second chance window if Brisbane don’t require all of their allocation. There’s also a smaller chance that some payments didn’t go through and people don’t follow that up.

As I mentioned I was upgraded to Gold in Aug this year, signed up end of 2009

I think that your second paragraph is what I was told about, which if true seems unfair to me.

Sometimes the rejected payments may also be the fault of the card provider (credit), I know one time I switched cards (bank) and the card company rejected the payment despite having more than sufficient funds.

Have the AFL/club changed the quantity of higher category seating available for members this year? I’ve been a legends member since 2008, as have my family and friends. 2010 x2, 2011, 2018 I’ve always been fortunate enough to get level 1. It’s only anecdotal evidence but so have all the people I know with legends members (and prior to this year not one has ever got category 6).

This year however we are all category 6. Whilst I can see in this thread some have higher category it does appear on the evidence available the seating quality is far worse across the board for club members this year.

Pretty sure there's just more legends members now.

After they opened it up with the different legends types (legends home, legends bay, etc), it allowed them to sell alot more - the restriction previously, i believe, was the away seat allocations. And they all get the same GF ticket guarantee.

Ive always gotten good seats in the past, but this year got cat 7

But I'm still holding out hope it will be in m33 and not in the nosebleeds

Either way, atleast I'll be there.
