I have tickets in m18 (gate 6) standing and m16 (gate 5)standing.

I’ll be able walk from m18 out of the afl reserve into the m16 area so I can stand with someone? Just not the other way around yeah? Do to they just check the printed ticket or scan it when walking through?

You’ll be fine getting out but they check your standing section in the finals. Just get your mate to give ya his ticket and show the bloke that, easy too get around.

See my above post on this.

One MCC member’s card will only provide for one person access on GF day, after queuing up on Sat morning. You can’t buy a ticket with the card, and can’t buy tickets for anyone else. It just gets you access to the Members Reserve.

BTW, the Members Reserve was full about 45 minutes after the gate opened at 5 on Friday night. I don’t recall that happening before, so quickly. The reserve will also fill up quickly on Saturday morning.
Just found out my mates a restricted member, what do you think my chances are if getting in? I heard in 2018 and 2022 they let restricted members in, apparently sent messages out at around 11am. I live a short walk away, so considering trying my luck.

There is a chance but less chance that those games. West coast couldn’t even use their members allocation.

They’re both in the AFL members for GF day, M14 is the border.

Think the chances of getting in as a restricted member would be low - but you never know. The MCC reserve was full about 45 minutes after gates opened for the PF, although guests were allowed. No guests at the GF so…

I'll walk over in the morning and try my luck. Might talk to some of the MCC staff after the rush and see what they think. Wonder how many others will be in a similar boat.

Agreed, encouraging scalping gets you nowhere. Although clearly the major event declaration hasn't done too much to deter the 'face value + 10%' scalping laws.
It’s hard to take the law seriously when the AFL itself sells glorified scalper tickets at 10 times the cost by adding a nominal breakfast attendance to it.

Now seeking 1 x ticket for Saturday.

Also, if anyone has a single standing or seat in Ponsford that they would like to swap for a seat in Olympic (Cat5, concession) double digit row, PM me.

No offence to newbies, I'm sure there are many legit newcomers to this site, but only willing to buy or swap with long term or reasonably high volume historic posters on BF.

If you are a passionate supporter, long time lurker, just joined the site in the last week account holder. We can work together next year when we are trying to sort out our GF tickets again :)

GoPies!!!

Does anyone know about the other live site at Melbourne Park? I know it's at Grand Slam oval, but is it a Collingwood run site or is it just a public site organised by the AFL?
My sister and her husband plus a couple of their friends want to immerse themselves into the Collingwood grand final atmosphere. I couldn't get them tix for the live site on my membership at the AIA centre yesterday, as it was sold out.
I told my sis l think the club has another live site at Melbourne Park, but l wasn't sure its a Collingwood run site, and what the setup would be....
If l knew they wanted to jump on the bandwagon, l would’ve got them GF tix with myself and my son, lol.....

Been thinking the same, also been thinking f*** it and bring me own TV setup to Vicky Park.

I remember the club saying the ticketing was just for liquor licensing laws, not sure why they sold out that quickly or at all

I believe the liquor license limits the number of attendees.

There are 4 sites to watch : Olympic Park (sold out) Melbourne Park, Yarra Park, Fed Square.

Pies have the Olympic Park & Melbourne Park live sites on their website, so I'm assuming the Melbourne Park one is Collingwood run.
