I thought there was plenty of media questioning Hinkley being reappointed before the finals, saying August was a stupid deadline when what Port really needed to see was whether he could take them deep into finals - once it was done there’s not much point hashing over it, they won’t sack him a month after reappointing him.

Fair. I wasn’t actually aware of the extension at the time tbh so I might have commented in haste/in schadenfreude after reading the Port board.

It’s pretty clear he can’t get his team up for big games and does a good line in snake oil. At least under Brad we won some big games!
