Listening to Cowherd, he reckons what he has heard about why teams are passing on Levis is that "Will Levis likes Will Levis" and "a kid that smart should make better decisions."

In other words, scouts and GMs have watched him and can see he is not a 1st round prospect unlike these other numpties doing the mock drafts that don't watch College Football.
Will Levis will in end up in the same rubbish dump as Johnny Manziel.

Please Rams, don’t even consider picking Levis with 36
They better not. Why is Levis so hyped? He ranked like 60 something in college football QB rankings for last season.

Rams need to keep their 2nd and 3rd round picks. No more of this trading back for more picks BS Snead likes to do. Quality over quantity this time. Especially that the Rams have had a lot of misses with their late picks in recent years. Plus they already have 11 picks in this draft. Need picks with higher odds to be starters.

Better off taking one of the bunch of QBs next season. Will be shocked if the Rams do not have a top 10 pick.

I think it just illustrates the fact that the draft community doesn't have access to one (out of two) of the biggest factors in where a player gets drafted - "intangibles" like character, intelligence, leadership etc and the medicals

Those quotes are things that you really only get a sense of by talking to the player, their coaches, other staff at the colleges they play for etc. Its why the biggest job of a regular, low level scout isn't watching the tape and grading a player, but visiting campus and basically being a PI and doing a background check.

Sure, Levis gave us more than the average prospect to indicate that his intangibles aren't great with all the stupid shit he's done for social media, but it isn't always that obvious

Not sure how to digest taking a ******* RB so high. He's a weapon but when Jalen Carter slipped I wanted him, despite the fact he's probably a ******* sociopath

Needed to get him out of Atlanta if he has any hope of not being a bust imo, not sure ending up in Phili was the best place for him either with college familiarity around him but time will tell.

You’d have to think D’Andre Swift is on the move at some point this offseason now

Yeah, they've given up on Swift entirely, its the only way it makes any sort of sense in my mind.

People like Lou Reddick talking about a three man committee of Swift, Monty and Gibbs being fire on the draft coverage, give me a break

My final thought. Don't care, got one of the best players in the draft.

Must be a lot of faith in Ridder, and Arthur Smith must have a lot of faith in ownership not firing before he gets the chance to draft a QB if the offense doesnt look better this year.

Or they are saying to Ridder "we are giving you the pieces to succeed so if you fail it is all on you."

They might be saying that but you see coaches get the bullet all the time coz of poor QB play. Just saying id be nervous if I was Smith despite whatever reassurances he has from ownership, if they are drafting top 6-12 next year better than a 50/50 chance he gets the sack, top 5 and hes out the door for sure imo

Arthur Smith turned Ryan Tannehill into an NFL QB in one season, and without him, Tannehill has reverted to a previous form.

I think he's decided to put the talent around Ridder to see what happens. People forget that all Ridder did was win in college. A college not used to winning.

Ive got him in two dynasty leagues, fine with me if he becomes good, just didnt see much last year that would suggest a QB of the future. But hes young, could definitely improve.

Not claiming he's going to be a star either. Just that he's only played 4 games with a very below average team.

People quick to write him off as just another guy after 4 games tell me everything I need to know.

Falcons giving Heinicke 10m a year tells me all I need to know also. Faith not exactly high. :D

It's good to have a viable backup.

Panthers signed Andy Dalton to a 2 year, $10m contract with $8m fully guaranteed.

Falcons signed Taylor Heinicke to a 2 year, $14m contract with $6.2m full guaranteed.

Mammoth differences for 2 guys unlikely to see the field.

I thought the Heinicke contract was 2 years 20m for some reason , my bad.

1st Round for me.

Loved what Seahawks, Cardinals, Texans, Raiders, Patriots did.

Not a fan of Eagles, Colts, Falcons (love the player just not value), Jets did so far.

And WTF is Lions doing
