Position 2023 PODs

Picked up Aliir Aliir last week for 420k, only had the poor scoring game vs Pies where he gave away 3 frees.
Otherwise has scored 105, 111, 96 and 110.
Ranks 11th for defenders last 3 rounds with 104 average.
Doesn't need much of it...Avg 12 disposals and 5 marks per game...intercept marking been good.
Went up 30k last week, should go up another 20k with a BE of 45.

Bought another one in, but still sitting at 14 PODs, hard to get the 50% POD/Common ratio.

Good PODs turn into commoners, Bad PODs get the boot

Just looked,79,112,84 and went up $40k,$366k, BE 14, may even be ok now,

Think I want to know more about Snelling thou, $278k, 95,72, BE -7,
like his 21 season, hasn't played much since

You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I m all for bringing in a fallen premo eg. Cogs, or a potential up and coming young gun e.g Day, but the Chayce Jones, Kosi Pickett types nearly always end in pain.

JJ I can understand being interested in but Culley 91 after 4 goals ?? Not sure how that could stir anyone’s interest, even for a crazy POD MPM owner!

Don't know enough about him, nice solid little run, seems reasonably consistent, played around 50% of games last 5 years.

Only 2 I would take around his price are Zeiballs and Day (Watch on Brayshaw(Melb)

When I pick a POD, they need to fulfil a few things
Will make some cash/low BE, - enjoy watching them, - reason for improvement/role change/injury return, - history, -I normally like the bigger players as well-185cm and up( old saying-4th Q, still 7ft), find some background info/interviews and if they seem happy/head in right place.

Then if 3 main boxes ticked-cash/score/enjoy watching, I'll pick at worst I'll get something out of trade.

From a GC perspective

MacPherson and Powell I feel will average 90+ from here on out. Powell coming off injury and is starting to look at his best, defs a watch for me may look to grab after bye

The best thing they can do for us is to go play somewhere else on the ground, so Constable can come in and play down back
