We're cooked. Output is better but fitness/mobility still a concern and no belief in our ability to execute kicks under pressure.

One of Good and Breann Moody is pointless if we get so little marking and mobility from both of them. Celine is a whole other issue as a forward.

Four teams this year have gone goalless. Who thought such rapid expansion would make the game better?

The expansion has gutted half the clubs. There’s 7, maybe 8, decent teams. The rest, including us, don’t have the out and out superstars to be truly competitive. Or, we did, and we lost them to the expansion clubs. Grace Egan would have been handy tonight. So would a Hoskin.

And the pool of players simply isn’t big enough for a lower place team to see any rapid improvement.

It’s a decade away from being a decent competition. Which is sad.

It wasn't the expansion, it was the lack of compensation for high quality players leaving

The opposition was better tonight but the intent and tactics of last week still should have worked. Hill and McKay were quiet. We normally see them win the ball and take territory. Not tonight. Celine Moody has had enough of an opportunity. Someone else should get a chance. Some stoic efforts in the back half but overall most of the team couldn’t win one on one or get creative enough with ball in hand.

Many work full time and their "off season" is nine months.
They have a pre-season, and they all play at least 2 VFLW games, some as many as 6. Not sure how many others play another sport though.

The issue is in high performance training programs and talent ID more so than full-time work.

Your argument failed when you typed "I think" knuckle dragger.
Alot of people work and still good at sport.
Nine months a long time to at least learn one skill.

No need for name calling

agreed, so knock off the personal attacks

Disrespectful on two fronts there. You might be thinking of O'Dea, or Arnell?
A bit sensitive. Can't expect everyone to know these days who is wanted to be called what. It's called AFLW so perhaps not to offend we should remove the W for women so as not to offend and find a different word to appease.

World has gone loopy.

Lost it at the selection table.

Surely they looked at the forecast and could have left out one of the talls and played a extra runner like Durrsma or Velardo

Arrived at game midway through Q2 to see Kerryn walking out with her arm in a sling. What happened?

Also to suggest that we should have played an extra runner in lieu of a tall is perfectly sound and indeed I agree, but to say we lost it at selection is ludicrous. There is no way any available selection changes would have made that much difference, we were comprehensively outplayed for the 2.5 quarters I saw.

BTW I met some nice Richmond fans. What is the world coming to?:)
