Sounds like Steele needs to spend more time swimming and sauna, to be ready to smash out the end of the season.

All childish hatred for him having screwed me twice this year (starter, trade-in again after I had sworn to myself I wouldn't), he should get it right.
Saints have a bit to play for and you've got a decent fixture and some kids who can shoulder a bit more responsibility for a spell.

Expecting it to unravel a bit today with a lot of rookies playing, but hoping for a big day for the young North boys.

Depends on how deep the cork is, and the metabolism of the player ....some players are just bad healers

I would much prefer for the whole comp to have a week off and promote AFLW and junior rep footy.

Without having any concrete knowledge, I wouldn't mind betting it has something to do with the desire to have more Thursday night games. I reckon under the PA bargaining agreement, players are only allowed a certain number of 5 day breaks between games a year. Spreading the byes out makes it easier to fixture Thursday night games for teams coming off the bye.

I could be completely off the mark but that's my suspicion. As for having 4 bye rounds instead of 3, I'll never understand that, but it did allow the AFL to have 8 games on the long weekend, instead of only 6 spread over 5 days.

15(C) for 1648 officially, but surely the shit truck Freo duo of Wheres the Fyfe and Not so Magic Johnson drop off and that becomes 13(C) for 1569.

Parker’s 550k & tonned 6/7 matches. He might just do for a 70-80k upgrade assuming Steele drops to 470k.
