So to recap the Piggy scenario:

• averages 125
• gets injured but plays out game
• nearly comes back in Round 12 but then ends up in hospital
• misses round 13 as a result
• has bye
• Melbourne go from “he’s itching to play, he was almost ready” 3 weeks ago to “we’re being conservative” and now he doesn’t play R15 either when we have 10 players at best

Well it is said a week is a long time in footy. Certainly true for my SC team.

Round 14: 20 played, finished top 1% for the round.
Round 15: 10 playing, could be single figures if Maric is omitted. Maybe finish in top 91%.

I have never done any planning for the byes. Just take the attitude it is what it is. But nothing has ever come close to how unequal these two rounds are.

Unsurprisingly will just write the round off. With only four trades left, will do none as not going to waste them chasing points for this week.

Onwards to round 16 I look but most likely not upwards.
