465 / 3 (Neale VC)

dunkley and taranto going poorly doesnt really matter at all considering their ownership. if anything helps out a bit with how many vc'd dunkley. will hopefully gain points with the neale vc over whoever people jump on to as a captain option (laird maybe?)

Put Fletcher in the team when lockout finished last Sunday. Switched him to Hewett earlier today. Doesn't look great so far
Yeah, I got talked out of Fletcher because of bad JS.
Watch him play every game from here on…….

I wouldn't be surprised if Dunkley sits out next week. The football nuff I am I listen to his pod with Treloar and it just so happens his Mrs is playing in the netball grand final next week in Melbourne.

If he were to to play against WC he wouldn't make it back across the country in time to watch the game

Doesn't he live in Brisbane now? The WC game's being played there so it shouldn't make a difference to any travelling.

Brisbane play Saturday @ 1.45pm, so will finish what 4.30pm or so?

Netball Grand Final is in Melbourne on Saturday @ 7.00pm.

Reckon he struggles unless he is subbed out at half time? Do the Lions have a helicopter he could use?

Goodness, it's a netball grand final, not the birth of his child.

They had a bye a few weeks ago.

If he is fit, he will play.

I agree, just showing that logistically if wants to be there, he won't be playing footy.

Surely the whole Brisbane team can just watch and support from afar!

Can't see it being relevant. Unless he's injured he plays. No AFL club is going to agree to resting a top player so he can watch a family member play another sport.

The counter to this would be; why play a key member of your squad who was subbed off with a calf complaint/niggle at minimum, when you're playing possibly the most uncompetitive side of the modern era? I would not be surprised to see clubs start using West Coast as a bye for their older players / those carrying niggles.

Could simply be a win-win, when there's something else going on in Dunkley's life that's somewhat important.

Have people held Clarry only to trade him now? What are people's reasoning on this, doesn't make sense to me but I'm open to other opinions...
He’s been on my bench for a month sitting on his fat ass, he can just sit there now.
No point trading him out, POD in my cashie leagues now during finals.

Well yes, he won't play if injured and might be rested if he's still carrying a niggle but not to watch the netball. As I said, if he's fit he plays.

I agree with you. It doesnt really matter how long you've held him, that is in the past. Yes, it is the source of much frustration but to make the decision right now, is simply a matter of how much longer you think he will be out for and what he scores when he comes back. There is no point letting emotions get in the way and trading him now unless you think he misses say 2-3+ more games. I held him, im annoyed too but its done - got to look forward. Im pretty confident he comes back in round 17 or 18.

It is WC so the Brisbane team could probably walk off at 1400 and they would still win.
