Mate give him a few. Worst thing i did last year was yank a player after a couple bad games then went bang. Had newc last year and traded after 1st two games then he went bang. All reports including the boys on suns forum says he is one of their vest players. Against the bombers though he will get 80+ book it.

Why are u guys fading flanders. He didnt set the world on fire but still made money. He scored 69 against swannies who are hard to score against. Surely he gets way more than that against a weak bombers team. His role wasnt good but hoping after the hammering and after all the preseason reports of his form dew wakes up and puts him closer to the ball.

As someone who watched the game and had Flanders - it looked like he got pushed out by Touk who missed the preseason games, so it doesn't look like he'll have the role. Combined with needing two goals for that 69 which he usually doesn't get, it's not a great outlook but I absolutely agree with you that he should be way better next week against the Bombers when he's not playing on Gulden

With that said, he looked pretty damn good when he was around the ball, which wasn't often on Sunday night - hopefully he gets luckier in not being on the dead side of the ground next week!

Why did you start Rory Laird and what has changed?

I started Laird thinking he'd be a captain choice and average 120. That seems unlikely now. Also, he's lost the right to be a captain choice for atleast 2 months until he shows his old self again.

but you will probably lose points week on week (Laird vs Green) - I can't see all of Kelly, Cogs & Green averaging over 105 and the two formers are more likely to do so I think

I agree that Laird will outscore green. But what about Ridley or Will Day over Chesser? That's what the extra money allows me to. Ridley/Will day (85) vs Chesser (45). that's 40 difference. Laird 115 vs Green 100. That's still 25 points better plus being able to pick up Laird 150k cheaper

Sounds pretty much like what I was alluding to earlier. Very happy to hear him acknowledge it, as it bodes well for keeping him/him making a statement.

the fact that he didn't know that he needs to work around stoppages is concerning enough. His performance was unforgivable. I'm trading. And look forward to picking him up in about 6 weeks

You should have listened to tigs2010 about never listening to me, but then that would have involved listening to tigs2010 so I see how you got into this predicament.

I just thought (and still do think) that he’s not a natural born accumulator and we’re fine with him having 20 quality possessions rather than 30 junk ones. That plus we run quite a few through the middle, so I just can’t see him maintaining an average that would have made him a decent starting pick.

FWIW I thought Tom Green looked the best of the $700k range breakout candidates and that’s turning out ok so far.

Not too late to jump on Warner if you want to take a stand and completely disagree with me though - it’s been a profitable strategy for many before you

All good points. Odds are stacked against him to keep scoring those numbers.. but jeez he looks good. That 115 in the granny last year stood out for me. Got a bit of heart which I like

Yeah that’s a very good counter argument. One of only two or three players to show any sort of fight that day and I agree he looked excellent again on the weekend. There’s every chance I’m underestimating him - scary how good he could be if I am, because I do rate him highly even if I’m not on him for fantasy scoring.

If Newc pulls through it'll definitely smooth it all over. What swayed me to him in the end aside from being a gun he'll be played in the middle all game every game which you can't say about Warner. That and I saw him manhandle Nank at a stoppage last year and couldn't believe it

Thoughts on who would you prioritise out of Green or Setterfield?

The stubborn part of me wants to fade Green but can hardly ignore him with West Coast coming up.

Trouble is, in this game you have to make a quick determination on players .....determine B4 others get on to a player, or off a player

One bad score kills cash gen ....is Flanders likely to be getting CBA's in the short term ?

Plays RICH this week, and will be seeking to make amends ......he's not playing in 40 degree heat every week (he said it was the humidity that got him)

I’m on the Green machine - tho he did fade early last year - Jelly out and good matchups coming

Have to consider Setters for his value but can he get 10 uncontested marks and 6 tackles each week?
I will probably risk him because I need cash to ditch Xerri this week

I say it every year... but this game was much more fun and more forgiving when we had a limited amount of trades... meant you had to be more patient with underperforming players and save trades.... Now a days, you basically need to jump off underperforming players straight away, because the whole comp is always advancing every week. Always feels like you are being left behind if you have an injury or an underperforming POD

yeah, that's all well and good but what is making amends in terms of fantasy? 170? that's what he needs. And why were his legs not working? it didn't seem to bother any other midfielder out there? they all seem like excuses to me. I hope he does well but he's plummeting in price and Tom Greene is much more of a must have. He looked amazing.

3 consecutive games indicate he'll be playing back, at least until Thomas is back .....which could be another 6 weeks, you imagine
