How It Works:
- Pentathlon = 5 events. 5 events = 5 video games for your SFA teams to battle out for supremacy and collect points. 1 event will take place per week with the entire Pentathlon taking place across 5 weeks.
- For each video game, SFA clubs will be selected at random and will be followed by a random selection of the video game team/athlete that will be represent them.
- Each event is a single elimination knockout tournament and the bracket will be set up during the random draw of teams
- However, 13 teams doesn't quite go into a single elimination bracket. There will be a "Lucky Loser" determined once in the first round and again in the second round. The way the "Lucky Loser" is determined varies depended on the event.
- Once a team has been allocated as the "Lucky Loser", they'll be ineligible to be a "Lucky Loser" again until everyone has been a "Lucky Loser". This carries over across years, if we make it that far.
Per event, the points scoring system will work as follows:
- 1st = 25 points
- 2nd = 18 points
- 3rd = 15 points
- 4th = 12 points
- 5th = 10 points
- 6th = 8 points
- 7th = 6 points
- 8th = 4 points
- 9th = 2 points
- 10 = 1 point
- 11th, 12 & 13th = 0 points
The Events:
As mentioned 5 video games will make up the Pentathlon and will be posted to YouTube for viewing. These events are:
- Event #1 - NBA 2K23
- Event #2 - FIFA 23
- Event #3 - WWE 2K18
- Event #4 - TBA
- Event #5 - TBA
