So the moment we get a little success they jump off.
Hopefully they get replaced soon.
Still think (St)KFC is a sponsorship match made in heaven.

I was thinking that the club has pushed the sponsorship price up now that we've made finals. A guy that we know in marketing was giving me shit because he reckoned that our partnership packages were the cheapest in the league. He reckoned he could pay to get anything on our jumper for loose change. Hopefully we have helped push those prices right up after this year. It would be good to get a really solid long term major sponsor.

Sponsors are usually contracted for specific amounts of time and then need to be moved on. Like a politician.

A lot of the clubs have a long term major sponsor that sticks through the years. Mazda got on the Kangaroos when Wayne Carey was dropping bags of powder in the Chevron. Toyota took on the crows when they started. Carlton have had Hyundai for years too.

I have a very good feeling in my bones regarding this Diehard.
As long it’s not something with huge green logo like Deliveroo or the yellow of Ledified.

Much prefer something that blends in. Pepper money red and black worked just fine.

Whatever happened with that weird toy company that some people were being coy about in the last few years? Clearly amounted to nothing
I'm struggling with that one jwikked.......I can't say that rings any bells at all.

With my earlier post.......just trust the club.

A podcast I listen to posted one last week about the history of the St Kilda Football Club.

The podcast is called Do Go On, i's a comedy podcast that reports about a different subject each week.

The host doing the report is a big Saints supporter (he could well be on here) and there is also a guest from the Unpluggered podcast on it as well.

By the way it goes for 5 hours (although the last 40 minutes is just the patreon section).
It's actually a really interesting story

The implication made was that it would go some ways towards paying off the debt. Drawing a total blank on the name of the company though, but it was something to do with weird toys

Does anyone know whether plugger66 ever made it to CEO* of KFC?
Interesting question Doc........but I can tell you one thing.........plugger66 was not finger licking good in any shape or form....!!!!!!

He was a grumpy ....stirring.........

As you have astutely pointed out above.........it's a potential match made in heaven......KFC and Red Rooster chips.

I'd love to know who that was jwikked.

By the way, your not thinking are you of the establishment down on South Rd near Warrigal Rd that sells a different kind of weird toy.

Ford have signed on with Geelong till 2025 which will mark 100 years of sponsorship. Amazing result for them really

You've got too many "mates" who get you worked up about StKilda.

Only listen to us on the forum here Gringo and you will stay out of those dark places.

I don't consider him a mate. He's the wife's friend's husband that I associate with. He's pretty painful. He is a wine nuffie and always pulls out elite wine from his cellar but otherwise he's a knob. He's the one that thinks that Andrew Bolt is a great guy because he doesn't believe any of the shit he spouts and likes winding people up.

He follows the Dogs too which makes it worse. When they won a flag he was talking like they were one of the big boys and the Saints were a pack of dole bludging losers. He thinks he's got a sense of humour but it looks more like he's bit of a campaigner.

He's in marketing but for a few years he got this huge paying gig for a guy who'd patented the human genome and sent pay-up or cease and desist notices to research facilities. Plenty paid him to go away because he was paying a bit. Yep, he has that kind of integrity.

Sponsors are USUALLY contracted for specific amounts of time.
