Hate to say it, but Adelaide's list and in particular their midfield stocks are much improved next year. Much improved. We've struggled to beat them for the past 2 years. Their list is clearly stronger. Ours so far is not.

Just seems worse than normal. Unreal teams let him slide to pick 5 as well, so they had to pay less. He was the obvious #1 pick if he wasn’t a father son.

Was thinking the same thing we will have gaping holes in our side when stacked up against the crows and a few other teams to.

That is just absurd.

And will the rule changes fix it? They’ll just need to add another pick 45 to it next year to make up for late picks being worth less points.


I suggested the only rule change that would ever need to be implemented ages ago. It’s not hard. Only picks in the round and following round can be used to match a bid.

No more securing a 1st round talent for 4th round picks. Lions would have had to trade for 2nd rounders to match the bid, and they cost a lot more to acquire.

It's absolutely ridiculous that the top 4 clubs didn't make Brisbane match a high bid. Brisbane were ALL IN on Ashcroft. Call them out on it, make them pay. Don't gift them a top kid for a few picks in the 40's. They are the ****ing reigning premier.

Honestly those weak clubs had a responsibility to the entire AFL and they were all too piss weak.
