St Kilda’s 2024 AFLW season will officially launch on Saturday 31 August, with the fixture for the national women’s competition released today.
A date with the Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium will kick off the Saints’ 2024 campaign, which features a compressed fixture of 11 games in 10 weeks as ‘Mid-Week Footy’ is introduced, seeing St Kilda play twice in Round 7.

Nick Dal Santo’s Saints will play five home games at RSEA Park, including a clash with Fremantle on the AFL Grand Final public holiday on Friday 27 September. They will also host one game at Kinetic Stadium in Frankston.

The season will see the Saints play interstate three times, including two games in South Australia (Round 6 and 8), as they strive for a maiden finals berth in their sixth AFLW season.
Executive General Manager of AFLW Tessie McManus said she was pleased with the fixture as St Kilda prepares to be an ‘anywhere, anytime’ team.
“We love playing at home in front of our fans at RSEA Park, we think it’s among one of the best game day experiences in the competition,” McManus said.
“However, we’re excited by the challenges travel and away games bring. We know the competition will be harder than ever before, but we’ll be looking to embrace every week as an opportunity to improve.”
Fixture highlights include Pride Round in Round 7, which includes home games against GWS Giants (Kinetic Stadium, Frankston) and Melbourne (RSEA Park), and Indigenous Round in Round 9 and 10.
The Saints’ AFLW players will officially commence pre-season training at RSEA Park on Monday, aiming to build on the momentum created last season with six wins from their past seven matches.

Really tough Draw. Play 6 of last years top 8 including the premiers who finished 4th after the regular season and the teams that finished 1st and 2nd. Not really sure how that can happen. We will be well and truly behind the 8 ball. Haven't checked, because I couldn't be bothered, but I wonder how it stacks up to the draws of the 8 teams that actually played finals last year. Royally screwed as per. If we make finals it will be a herculean effort.

We get little or no coverage in the media and little or no features on our players. It is though we don’t exist. The media well and truely have their favourites.
