Not much to do for organizing a new season. So easy compared to Empire.

Trading is of course open.

Draft start will be JULY 1

Roster deadline is JUNE 30 to get your roster down to 26 players who are all selected as your 26 keepers.

Currently, your roster page (at the very bottom of mobile browser, or very left on PC browser) will look like this.

The position maximums are double of what they really are. So you can carry excess players at positions for now,, and even prior to draft, even keepers selected, and even after draft....but eventually you will only be allowed to carry the half of what the maximum is displayed.when season starts.

But you must get your roster down to 26 pre-draft and make sure to personally select your 26 keepers.

Your idea of strongest team ever is different to mine in 2024. Youre living in the past Bazz, quit living in the past.

Watson - Worthless
Rodgers - Enough said
Mahomes - Scores more like a QB2 these days
Fields - Backup QB
Waddle - Shocking season
Diggs - Washed. Was trying to sell him no one interested
Javonte - :$

Loss: Traded Henry too early before the season, should have waited and got more than a 2nd and Jack Campbell.

Breakeven: Traded Kamara for about the right price I think before the bottom falls out, essentially turning him into Josh Downs.
Kelce trade is about right, maybe a slight loss but can only get what people offer. You offered me a 3rd and I got a 2nd.

Win: Did well to sell CMC & Kupp when I did a few weeks ago before CMC got injured again.

Only player drafted by NDG that has got better is Pickens pretty much.

1.01 & 1.08 this year, 3 x 2nds next year.
This is not easy....taking over an elite but old/etc squad and turning it into an ongoing elite but young squad.

If I kept everyone maybe I sneak into the playoffs but I dont think its a championship roster regardless. Then im stuck with players worth even less next year, harder to move coz they are one year older. Better to see the writing on the wall a season early and get what you can.

I was praising your work btw, saying its not easy inheriting an elite/old squad. Just like you said...you can make the mistake of holding onto it a year too long, losing trade value for aging players, etc.

I was sad reacting coz its not easy trying to replenish an old roster like you said.

Yeah, and I guess its also not easy inheriting a shit roster and turning it around too.
It is rewarding though when it pays off. From memory I took over a team in the BF Fleaflicker league with pick 1 or 2 and have gone back 2 back and trying to make it 3 in a row.

It wasn't exactly shit tbf. It was a contender last year for sure. The cliff came/is coming quick on quite a few players at the same time though unfortunately. If NDG didnt draft so terribly in his final year in 2023 with Quentin Johnston, Marvin Mims and Sean Tucker in the first three rounds (he did draft Jayden Reed in the fourth round tbf but hes not exactly a league winner) I might have stuck around for another crack at the title this year.

Shit roster strategy....you either have to hold onto your picks and nail them all....or....trade your picks for those aging but established vet stars....growing pains the first way, more ready to win now the second way, but then next season you gotta start all over again if those aging vets fall off a cliff.

Me in Omega.

At least I have an arsenal of early draft picks the next two seasons though.

Shit like that loses you games. Rush almost gets the TD to Lamb. Nope, at the 1. Dowdle run it in... nope. ****ing Elliot.
I had a 7 leg multi on the Dallas vs Tampa game today at $15 today, 6 legs correct and the 1 I missed was Sterling Shepard over 1.5 catches, he had 1 catch in the second quarter and did his hammy on a jet sweep at the start of the third quarter, out for the rest of the game. Cost me $450.

For the record....the best finish the Riders have had in Alpha is 3rd place (many many years ago). This will be a new high for the Riders, finishing either 1st or 2nd. The times they are a-changing.
