Congratulations to Nick Daicos for claiming the 2024 BF Didaka Award, this is to go with the 2023 Didaka that he won last year.
Great effort by the little master as I think we can all agree he was definitely one of our few positive shining lights for the 2024 season, let’s hope that he can bring home a much deserved Brownlow medal to justify he’s sensational season he delivered for the Collingwood Football Club.
Other congratulations to Darcy Cameron for coming 2nd. A career best year for big Darcy and he was very popular amongst us BF folk and he has proved himself to be one of the best big men in the game and was a richly deserved AA squad member.
And rounding out the podium, Josh Daicos. Another stellar season out on the wing, he runs all day giving his all and we couldn’t be prouder of you representing our great club every week.

Some fascination outcomes this season:
Of the top six, 50% are over 30, (and Darcy is 29).
Of the top seven, 100% played in or across the midfield.
Noble was our highest polling defender.
Frampton polled as many votes as our captain and fellow backman Darcy Moore.
Bobby Hill polled just one vote more than Schultz, who polled just one vote more than Richards.
Tom Mitchell polled as many votes as Lipinski.
The oft maligned Hyphen polled one more vote than Jamie Elliot.

It just shows that some who were expected to play well this year did not turn up. No wonder we are not playing finals. Too much is left to Nick and Cameron and many believe they are only true A graders now.
