They can use the extra conference game argument but if it is something like Ohio State playing an extra game against Rutgers or Northwestern it hardly counts. That is why strength of schedule should matter so much more than the amount of conference games.
You know that they wont say rugters or maryland. they will say the extra game would of been Vs Oregon or USC or Penn St.

Just like if the SEC added and extra game arguments wouldn't be the extra game was Vanderbilt it was Texas or Alabama or whoever is ranked at the time.

Florida State/GT worth staying up for?

Probably not. It could be a good game if the nerds have improved as much as they are expected to but being the first game of the season it is really impossible to tell if it will be close or not.

As it turns out, my 18 month old has decided sleep is for the weak so there’s every chance I end up catching it anyway.

DJ Uiagalelei at QB for FSU is horrible.

His first half stats

12-14 98 yards while averaging -0.01 air yards per attempt
Yeah that was awful. Only caught the first half but not surprised they lost.

His stats will look good but as you say, barely threw it past the line of scrimmage all half.

Georgia Tech were pretty good the first half of the season last year, they've made great improvement as a program over the past few seasons.

Shame that the expanded playoffs means that mathematically they can't be eliminated for a few more weeks.

He looked better the first half of the season at Oregon St. but faded. going back to the ACC looks like the Clemson DJ again.

2 upsets to start with Tech getting the win, and then UNM losing to FCS Montana State giving up the final 21 points
Upset?

New Mexico were a 2 TD underdog.

They covered the line!!!!!
