The trouble is if you go to conservative this week you can leave yourself to much to do next week when most the prices change. If there's an obvious move better off making it now.
Oh absolutely, make the obvious move if needed. But using three trades in a week where less than half the players in the comp are having a price change is dicey, especially if you're jumping off a healthy player after one mediocre/bad score in order to chase points.

Here's my watchlist:

Need to get that list as small as possible, to avoid confusion and to have confidence in my trades.

Firstly, Windsor is removed:
Looks like a great player, I have no doubt that a spike game is coming. But I think he's a long-term rookie, which I don't need right now.
It doesn't help that he has the bye coming up in a few weeks. Getting subbed off hurt his viability as a short-term cash gen option.
He's also $180k.
With that, he's a no from.

Secondly, Tom Berry is removed:
He only had 6 touches in rd1. Looking at his score, I'm not entirely sure how he scored a 60.

Suns fixture gets harder, and there's a bye in there:
rd2: Dogs (A; Mars)
rd3: bye
rd4: GWS (A; Adelaide)
rd5: Hawks (H)
rd6: Swans (A)

If he get 6 touches in a loss, he might be hovering around the $250k mark come rd7.

So with that, he doesn't worth it to me. I might be wrong of course, but I'm willing to bet against him.

He's also $163k. I think if he was $123k, that $40k makes him more appealing.

Next player up for review:
McKercher. In the last few days I labelled him must-have, Kerchgoat, etc., but after Dempsey and Sharp had good performances and solid scores, saving the cash and skipping Merch might be the play. TBA...

I love Dawson, he is by far my favourite player outside of the Bulldogs. And has massive scoring potential. But I need the cash to fix my backline so either him or LDU gotta go and Dawson is more expensive.

I'm a mad man. I love bringing in players after a down game.

I think it's fine to trade Dawson if it's to fix your structure.

What big moves did you guys make during the round to build the bank so much to be able to turn Gibcus into Mass and a cheap rookie into Billings? That's $200k+ in the bank.

I started with $80k in the bank (probably more than most)
made 1 move of Butters down to Touk during the round to get to $170k
I wanted more, but if I made more moves I would have completely changed my side and likely ruined it
Brutal punishment of any mid pricer that didnt get enough dirt on their guernsey, combined with the tried and tested method of chasing last weeks points. Thats the likely story for the week.
Favorite buttboy this week will be that eternal spud Zac Fisher. Take him down the back paddock and shoot him if u have him.

This will sound mad but would anyone trade English to Gawn (😱), then Martin (M5) to Rowell, leaving over 100k in the bank?

Frustrating as I got sucked into Gawn's poor game last week, so all this could have been avoided.

Gotta say, it's wild seeing how many people are using boosts...in Round 1...in a bye week

Just let me trade.

He'll be a slow burn, can't see him scoring more than 60. Got beaten a lot last match, surprised he even got close to 60. Not the worst option.

I prefer waiting for Hore, or even waiting for Worner (nasty KO though, might be longer than 1 week out)

Went Tracca to Serong to bank that 55k when Gibcus went down. (Was toying with between the 2 players - guess the luck kinda evens out - Gibcus (Onfield))

Srs question, if you click that button does it just unlock 5 trades? I've not played SC in like 8 years.

Rowell
Miller
Heeney
Billings

As must haves how would you rank these 1-4?
From what i saw...priorities for THIS week on that list:
Billings
Heeney
Rowell
Miller

Those Rowell/Touk/Flanders/Green types can wait. One price rise wont kill you...but in Billings case it might cost plenty if you really want him.

Gawn is finished mate.

No point picking him up. Too old and too slow.

Nah, it just activates one of your five boosts, allowing you to make three trades this week. If you don't use all three, the boost will be automatically refunded.

Reactionay trade.

Fisher = FOMO Pick -> Heeney = will sky rocket to like 580k and actually looks good with the role and doesn't like his limping like previous yeear.

Wines = FOMO Pick (Nothing Pick TBH) Don't see him in the top 12 mids TBH. Low TG and too many Port Mid's point sharing and I asssume Rozee and Butters will be taking most of it. (I could be very wrong) -> Fyfe - Has the right role and will probably match Wine's in scoring while hitting 450k.

Mannagh/Clark (Whoever gets the vest) -> Billings (Had him all pre-season), I just want to jump on board when he hits the 400k mark.

Reason for Boost -> I need to pick up Hore/Carrol/Dempsey/Pink in round 3 and if I don't Boost for Fyfe I can't get a combo of the 3 Bubble Rookies.

I've come up with a cunning plan.
This week fish to billings and laz to tberry.
Leaving me this.

Then next week this is the crazy part.
Howes to mass
Tberry to Powell or Fyfe.
I would need tberry and Howes to make 60k this week for Fyfe or 80k for Powell
I understand this is nuts
Pretty much the earliest reverse roughy ever.

Holding as well. Spuderick has a 56 B/E. Hope he hit it makes a little coin then downgrade to Mass. Then can do Gibcus to Coffield and Clark to McKay if all goes well.

It's really round 2 for a lot of important players and boosting to get the correct people in before price rises is totally fine. Just a weird side effect of the round 0 bs
I'm thinking seriously of doing it to maximise cash generation.

Reid, Fisher and Clark have killed their cash generation - would rather get in rooks who are going make $$$

Depending if his picked that 13 for Clark only effects one price rise so im not to concerned for now

Get one more look at him and if he spuds again simple trade to Carroll

I'll hold Clark - more likely to dump Lazarro - unfortunately doesn't look up to the task.
