2024 VFL Season - Finals

Final spot up for grabs. What each team needs for it to happen:

1. Richmond: Win. If they lose, need Sandy and Sydney to lose and Essendon not to gain 12% on them (virtually impossible).
2. Sandringham: Win, have Richmond lose and hope their win is within ~15 points of Sydney's win.
3. Sydney: Win by 3-4 more goals than Sandy and have Richmond lose
4. Essendon: Win by 110 or so and Richmond lose by 12 goals or so, and have Sandy and Sydney lose.

Carlton have just lost about 8 players from the seniors and are going to Perth so will take travelling emergencies. This will decimate their VFL team and should gift us the last wildcard spot, even though we aint in good form at all.

Would pretty much lock in a Richmond vs Frankston wildcard final. Personally I'd be content travelling up to Punt Rd instead of going to Williamstown or Gold Coast.

Wicks 4 weeks and challenging

While Essendon couldn’t accept the Vigo 4 weeks quick enough

Garner one match (lucky for all these u18s first rounders helping to top Richmond up) insane the amount of players they lost

More that we know we have no chance of overturning it.

It will be better than the AFL reserves sides who have the bye in the same round playing 'match sim' against each other
Isn’t it exactly the same thing

Absolute farce Wicks still out for 4 , this is so ridiculous
Look at the Weideman suspension. You will not find a dumber suspension in the history of football.

The Visentini suspension is arguably worse.
Nope. Visentini is a suspendable action. He turned and tucked. It was an excessive ban, but a suspendable action.

Weideman got suspended for an action where the Carlton player dove head first, took out Weideman's legs whilst he was chasing the ball, and literally didn't do a thing wrong. The Carlton player was completely at fault, and on top of that, it should have been paid a free to Weideman. It was the worst suspension in the history of the game.

I'm not a great Wicks fan , but his suspension is laughable , i don't know how they can call that 4

Bit of both you'd imagine but Tassie should be expected to fly, start getting them used to what lies ahead from 2026 onwards.
Not sure who they are trying to get used to flying? Probably none of the players or coaching panel next year will be involved in their first AFL season. Who from Tassie will benefit?

Their current Coates league Tassie players already travel.

Who will be playing in the 2025 season for Tassie anyway?
