The fact that McGrath takes the kick in is beyond stupid. Redmans confidence was shot once Ridley came back and Redman was shifted away from his natural position to allow McGrath to still be offensive.

Not sure why people keep saying Redman was up the ground. Yes he contested a few center bounces but he did not play on ball and the heat map I posted in the Redman thread showed he played most of the game in the back half. He rotated in for the center bounce and actually did a good job at nullifying a few of their clearances. Then he went back.

Yeh and he shouldn’t. At minimum Redman is a penetrating kick, should always be kicking out or Ridley.

Agree. When Andy kicks in the oppo knows he's about to receive the ball back. No penetration on tge kick at all.
I wonder if Redders has been instructed not to kick. He doesn't strike from 50 anywhere near as much either.

Someone said it in the game-day thread, was a great call - about preferring the ball be in the hands of Archie Roberts rather than McGrath or Shiel, who will likely turn it over.

Only one game, but it's a bit of a worry a teenager who's played 5 games has more poise than our VC and our 200+ game/32 year old HBF.
