Looks like at least 20% of teams in the BBL are Ghost teams:ghost:

I can see why you would start with Maxwell. He will be back in round two.

Hardie, not so because he is still a few games away.

Brown should be 100% owned.

Inglis I can understand because he is the best wicket-keeper and you expect he will be released to play in their round two double.

Gotta seriously consider Connolly as captain next round.
My only argument against this , is if Hardie returns at 3, will this disrupt the momentum Connolly has built ?

He could bat as high as 4 , and probably get his allocation of 2 overs tops. A Hardie+ Inglis return, means Connolly probably goes down to 6?

I cant see Turner wanting to move up nor down the order. He is captain and treats the number 5 spot in that lineup like its his own.

Scorchers are very keen for Cooper to be a top 4 batsmen.

I think others might juggle spots for the wonder kid

Some stats I have kept of the SCG in the Power Surge Era:

From 17 games, the average First 4 Over Powerplay score whilst batting 1st is 30 runs, with the median being 31 runs.

From that same 17 game allocation in the Power Surge overs (2 overs) , the team batting first averages 21.05 runs, with the median being 21 runs. Notice compared to the Perth Stadium last night, this is considerably lower.

Last years game saw the Sixers score 18/1. Tom Rogers and Richardson bowled the Surge Overs

Same game, Renegades scored 13/1 off their two over surge. Tom Curran and Abbott bowled the surge overs.

Ill have a stab the same Two Gade bowlers bowl the Surge tonight. For Sixers, Abbott and Dwarshuis.

My thinking is if we know the toss 30 minutes ahead of the game, is to probably to select players that will bash it in the first 4 overs, as that tends to be the easier time to score runs.

Also bowling sides tend to peg things in the back half at the SCG. So death bowlers are right in the game at the SCG.

I'm looking at picking Hassan Khan even though I don't know much about him, I assume he is an allrounder as he is a Bat/Bwl.

Having said that Tim David and Nicholas Pooran jetted off from a T20 international game in Perth, and the very next day were playing in the UAE in a T20 tournament. So , it can be done.

But cmon Bethell isnt going to play on Thursday for the Gades.

I doubt Bethell will go from playing a test match in NZ straight into playing a T20 here especially if it finishes on Wednesday.

The last thing on Bethells mind right now is about a T20 game in Geelong thats for sure.

This is also a guy that will have to take a bit of time getting used to the conditions in Australia, a guy thats never played much cricket in Australia.

Hassan Khan has a 7.2% ownership at the time of writing.
