Runs in the familyBack to back winner at that
from memory last year was easier than prior years on those same type of analysis so I think its likely this year is just a return to the median.Certainly seems harder to put a decent team together this year.
I am a million over the cap with my two rucks being the only players over a 106 avge; and I only have three above a million.
Just a comparison: last year's cap of 15,800,000 would buy you 17.497 players at a 100 average. This year's would get you 17.348.
Maybe put a better way: 2024 cap affords 30 players priced at 58.36. The 2025 cap affords 30 players priced at 57.82
The minimum 2024 price of 200,000 fitted into the 2024 cap 79 times, but this year's minimum of 230,00 fits into the 2025 cap 77.39 times.
this time of year probably feels harder too because those basement rookeis havent emerged. So most (at least smarter) tend to fill the bench on the more expensive side and try fit in all the "must haves" and you simply cant.15,800 000 / 8850 (2023 MN) = 1785
17, 800 000 / 10260 = 1735
So your about 50 points harder this year. Half a premium tougher start

Really? Longer than the full 12 months?Gibcus is a fair way off. No chance Round 1
Yeah seems like it will be 13 and then I'd imagine some VFLReally? Longer than the full 12 months?
I would love for some enthusiastic type to work out what the 19th best score was for say rounds 1-6 last year for their given teamI said this last year but if you were to say go Mills/Roberts and they both go 15 over there average and your bench player on there byes goes 50, you're still losing points to someone who goes 10 points over, is it really worth it?
Roberts/Mills (priced at 75) go 90 avg each, thats 360 in 2 weeks +100 from the rooks on there bye (50avg) = 460.
x2 players (priced 75) go 85 avg each x6 = 510.
Surely you're wanting to look at non bye players who have even 10 pts upside over the bye players with 15?
Even 20 points upside with the bye players ends up being 480, still 30 pts behind.
Obviously there's exceptions like Smith and Coleman, but wanted to get others opinions on this, especially cause byes are earlier this season.
I hope this made sense lmao.

I don’t think we will ever know for sure hahaAnyone know what role Matt Kennedy will play at the Dogs?
That's fair, but reading the saints bigfooty pre-season page, most people actually have him as the MVP of the whole preseason and is playing fulltime midIm really big on Pou but hes not 99% completely locked away for me
As there are 7 locks out of 8 spots there and i like a few forwards (Pou one of about 5) that are all different prices which may depend a bit on structure for that last spot
A few of those im trying to fight because i just need uniques that arent 100 premium mids, but i keep telling myself their is no value going down this path for the sake of it
I feel this happens a bit every year at this time, maybe just to not put any pressure onColeman likely to be ready?
They are already talking him not being there for OR
Coleman could be an early sub risk as well (either starting or being subbed)I feel this happens a bit every year at this time, maybe just to not put any pressure on
but you never know you could be right, not everyone is Will Ashcroft and does it 1 months or Sam Doch/Howe 9 months
I hope that the likes of Gibcus/Coleman arent ready for R1, should create more diversity
My list is also if theyre lining up theyre locked
EDIT: and maybe theyre is some smart thought patterns of returning post their R3 bye. Is there much to gain by him playing the first couple of weeks if a slight rush and then have a week off? Probably not. The smart play with a deep list might be to return in round 4 post bye. Hes probably taking Answerth position whos finalls/back end of the year was very solid
Yeh so i could well beThat's fair, but reading the saints bigfooty pre-season page, most people actually have him as the MVP of the whole preseason and is playing fulltime mid
And they also project that the best 3 mids they have are Steele, Macrae and Pou
Personally think he's a lock with so much upside and so much built in value + having the best bye too with mid/fwd status
Would for your side change ie JHF to Pou and then a mid priced mid up to a TT/Rozee type
