Highly doubt it, now Treloar is out ....and Macrae being deportedMight go fwd alot more while Jamara is AWOL
Darcy and Naughton is still a formidable KPF duo

And his reasoning was simple enough, that whilst we play best 18 in Rnds 2,3 and 4, it's the best time to chance your hand. This is also based on having quite a lot of mid-pricers and under priced premiums, because it gives you the best pivot power during this period. His rationale anywayYeah was referring to 3 rooks total.
And let's be real, the difference between a one rook midfield and a two rook midfield is one player. It's one trade if your midpricer fails and a rook fires.
I don't think those considering starting one rook in the mids are going to struggle significantly for cash gen as opposed to a two rook midfield.
Be interesting to see the heat charts for Bont the last time Jamara had an extended out - if I could be botheredHighly doubt it, now Treloar is out ....and Macrae being deported

1/3/1/01/3/0/1 at this stage. Not completely against going something truly left field like 1/4/0/0 if enough midfield rookies put their hands up.
The guy who finished second last year started with 3 rooks on field.
Not sure we can read too much into last year’s winning strategy when it comes to how many rooks were played and on what lines. It all comes down to how many quality rooks vs how many quality midpricers are available and in what line.

**** that. Get on LobbLiam Jones out for like 2 months could open the door for Busslinger
$230k rook averaging 84 in VFL, pretty good!**** that. Get on Lobb![]()
Hopefully he gets a run this year. I was surprised when they flicked Lobb back and it worked.$230k rook averaging 84 in VFL, pretty good!
I wonder if we're selling the def rooks a bit short this year. Seems to be a few up and about, so much so I'm contemplating running two on field.$230k rook averaging 84 in VFL, pretty good!
Yeah theirs def a few, if some pop out in preseason with a decent score im sure its a possibility.I wonder if we're selling the def rooks a bit short this year. Seems to be a few up and about, so much so I'm contemplating running two on field.
Travaglia, Leake, Smith, Reid, Allan, El-Hawli, potentially Busslinger now.
Yeah, I'm running with 0 on field rooks in defence at the moment. Travaglia, Leake, Smith and El Hawli seeming unlikely for Round 1, I don't think any of the three who seem likely (Buss, Reid, Allan) can avg more than 50 or soI don't trust any of the defenders at this stage.
El-Hawli in B team
Travaglia listening to aflratings guy reckons he's borderline A team. FFS Saints you are worse than mediocre, play the kid every week.
Smith borderline A team.
Leake playing midfield but the teams seemed split rather than A v B.
Allan probably best JS.
Busslinger & Reid KPD gross.
AgreeI don't trust any of the defenders at this stage.

The most buillish on Leake. Could have played last season. Then The Perryman, Peatling, Cumming, and Haynes go, which opens up spots.I don't trust any of the defenders at this stage.

I must admit I don't really follow anything Aflratings says closely. Having listened to his podcast for a couple of years I eventually gave up. Seemed to have preconceived notions (often comtrary to concensus) and then made news and information fit that preconception rather than taking it at face value. Plus the fact I've never been aware of him having an actual top season since the Dream Team days.I don't trust any of the defenders at this stage.

It’s not bad just because they get to trainings and can take some 1st hand reportsI must admit I don't really follow anything Aflratings says closely. There are enough decent podcasts these days that these guys don't get a look in for me. It is incredibly dry content. Much easier following their social media comments. It’s not bad just because they get to trainings and can take some 1st hand reports
Agree their actual takes on strategy/players need to filter out. Also feel like they get fixated on the wrong guys (eg jumping on guys who are running hit when clearly have missed the value and are at unsustainable price)
Plus they’re pretty boring blokes to listen to.
But chuck it in 1.5x speed and it fills some airtime in the rotation!
I've never listened to them before but I ran out of content when walking my dogs. There are enough decent podcasts these days that these guys don't get a look in for me. It is incredibly dry content. Much easier following their social media comments.

Hat Chat is another. What’s your rotation?
Mine in rough order of preference are:
PodPod
BallBoys
Moreiras Magic
Coaches Panel
Traders
Fantasy Fanatics
Draft Doctors (still some crossover benefit for fantasy but less so now there’s not a full panel)
Any other gems out there?

Breakdowns of what?Hat Chat is another.
Does anyone know if any podcasts are doing team breakdowns/analysis this season?
List gap analyses, positional info, demographic profiles etc. I remember there were podcasters that used to cover that side of footy (usually from a fantasy keeper perspective) but I can't recall who...Breakdowns of what?
