I forgot my log in details for a year, but I'm back 🤣

Keen for this year. Big question right now is does bevo play some random forward pocket kid in the kids with trealor out, or so both Sanders and Kennedy take trealors cbas.
Surely Richards is the first in line? But what he showed in his stints last year was very good.

Actually not that awkward for a rd 0 player, the exact range that if he pops rd 0 your happy to take despite the bye and with less risk when it comes to that price
It's awkward ...if you don't have the money :p

Welcome back!

Trying line ups with 0 defender rook onfield and adding maric into forwards, but kinda hard when i have no idea what we can expect from him, maybe a 70 if hes playing back?
Apparently today Jeppa thought Maric's game looked fantasy-friendly, but the stand out was Tom Gross as a sneaky little rook chance

AFL - Former forward Ryan Maric continued his shift into defence and was regularly involved as a rebounder and with kick-in duties, with draftee Bo Allan also playing in the stronger backline.
They're still pushing him towards this role. Should be reasonable upside priced at 42.
Rebounder AND kick ins. 🤑:padlock: 🤤

I really can't see the reason why people are going down to 1 mid rook, 2 i can see why but you're going to lose so much cash gen by doing that, sure you might start of better potentially but as the season goes on you're going to drop of.

We have so many good mid rooks this year, same with mid pricers i agree but they don't make as much cash gen as the rooks and cash gen is king in this game, especially early on.
I agree. I think part of it might be the niggles to Levi and Smillie. If they don't start the season and Stone, Leake, Smith etc all have roles and only $230k. It could pay to distribute rooks around the field.

No way they commit to using lalor, Ross, Hopper and Dow as their main mids lol.

Itd have to be just to mix things up
Yeah Bont played 80% forward the other day. Not going to happen in the real thing.

The guy who finished second last year started with 3 rooks on field.

Value is value regardless of whether it's a rook or a midpricer. There's so many value midpricers in the mids this year that I think you can make plenty of cash with just one rook in the mids.

Yes im saying 3 is good lol...
Good rooks make 2x as much as the value mid pricers if they're going 70.

Oh true he might be, sorry misread it.

Tom (the guy) had 2 mid rooks, which i am fine with.
Yeah was referring to 3 rooks total.

And let's be real, the difference between a one rook midfield and a two rook midfield is one player. It's one trade if your midpricer fails and a rook fires.

I don't think those considering starting one rook in the mids are going to struggle significantly for cash gen as opposed to a two rook midfield.

Not sure we can read too much into last year’s winning strategy when it comes to how many rooks were played and on what lines. It all comes down to how many quality rooks vs how many quality midpricers are available and in what line. That tends to vary wildly from year to year, so what worked in 2024 doesn’t necessarily work in 2025.

We’re probably still too far out from round 0/round 1 to have a firm answer anyway. Some random rookie tends to put their hand up in the PS matches each year which forces everybody to shuffle their rookie numbers around.

Might go fwd alot more while Jamara is AWOL
