Trades 2025 Fantasy Round 2 Trades

Annual reminder to only make your trades before Thursday lockout if you had to.

Had a hard time reversing my trades the other day because it involved somebody in the Utility position. Rollback team I think is not available post lockout if any player locked out is in a different spot

I've been looking at Day to Neale this week (crazy I know). Neale is now under 980k and has Eagles this week. I know he will (probably) still drop in price but I think it isn't a crazy play considering Brisbane has a great run the next 6 weeks.

If you look at what Neale did last season after the games he was hard tagged:
R6 Giants Bedford tag (62) then next week R7 Suns (137)
R14 Saints Windhager tag (50) then next week R15 Port Adelaide (135)
R19 Swans Jordon tag (69) then next week R20 Suns again (129)

Neale knows how to bounce back big the very next game. It is a crazy trade to do in just round 2, but if it works you are laughing.

Surely that's a bug. His breakeven should be in the 150 region. Likely the result of round 0 shenanigans and the numbers fudging up.
The prices haven't moved as much as I expected in either direction. I wonder if instead of treating R0/R1 as separate rounds they've averaged them out.

That is possible. Such a shame that they didn't communicate to us better how they were handling the round 0 price changes. Seems like we all got duped by the (supposed) huge price rises that were forecast.

Not sure $50k is enough for a trade when you could get a rookie like Lindsay, Hall who should make heaps 4x that. If he was priced like an SDK and getting bulk CBAs then maybe.
Lindsay probably goes in for hollands if he doesnt score well, or washcroft

i dont think it was calculated differently.

Scores in general were high, not many players dropped a lot of cash, therefore there is a limited amount players can go up.

Is trading Callaghan down to Lindsay this week a good play?

It will get me the cash in need next week to get Cameron up to Xerri and possibly Perryman to whoever I want if he spuds again.

Surely Callaghan isnt your first priority trade out?
Hes far from a must trade, hes still under-priced based on what hes been doing so far with Eagles and Saints in his next 3 games

If you have a perfect team then sure, but if you have Perryman or any other player on the bye thats who id be dumping first for sure

I think it's a fine play. Callaghan needs to go.
Why do you say he needs to go? Surely not just because of the bye?

"Need to go" is probably hyperbole. I just think now is the perfect time to get off. He hasn't changed as a player, he's still an 88-92 guy in my eyes, more real impact than fantasy impact. He's made 55k, he's now got a bye, I think now is the perfect time to get off and get a real player or he'll be one of those players that will just avoid trade out for too long, and you'll find yourself trading him out at Round 5, he's back at his original price and he's averaged 85 over the last month.

Eh I see he has a few good matchups to come, and Green is still a good chance to cop any tag that comes

He might not go up much more but I doubt anybody has such a good team that Callaghan is anywhere near the top of the list to trade out, but fair enough

I think I go lindsay for sanders or garcia next week, I'm okay having to pay around 400k for him as he will still continue to rise rapidly

Options appear to be pretty similar

Option 1
Out: Perryman and S.Taylor
In: SDK and Freijah

Option 2
Out: Perryman and Leake
In: SDK and Lindsay

Option 3
Out: Perryman and Garcia
In: Freijah and Knevitt
I like option 4
Perryman and Taylor to Freijah and Lindsay
Take the bank into next round

Edit : jumped the gun. Realised the Def issue
Option 3

He's now a top 3 banana for CBAs (Ward, Coniglio playing more outside and Peatling gone).
Reckon there's still quite a bit of succulent flesh on the bone... I'm tucking in for a bit.

I thought so too with the CBA's then saw a worrying quote from the coach.

Something alone the lines of Cogs will move to inside mid when he's more fit. Just playing fwd in short term. Paraphrasing. Absolute moron if he does that as main guy it will be impact is Callaghan who's been their best player.

I've hovered over the trade button on Callaghan a few times. I think picking so many GWS players for money was the wrong move in hindsight.

There is no way Callaghan or Green move out for a 31 year old Cogs if theyre playing like they are, more likely to see Kelly drop a few CBAs to fit in Cogs imo
Woudlnt make any sense for Callaghan to drop below 70% CBAs while playing like he is, would be madness

Hollands and Taylor out > L Ashcroft and Freijah in

Was thinking of going to a big defender because I'm light in defence right now and best 18 would be great for some peak scores, but I can't afford to get Taylor all the way up to someone like NWM or Zorko (best I could do is Holmes). Reckon it's better to bank the cash (after trades I have $320k in bank) for next week so I can potentially go Will Day > Tom Green or if Roberts puts up another meh score then Roberts > Whitfield.
Holmes not up there with the best defenders for less $$?

Think he steps up to a 105 this year. Main ball mid now with a bunch of defensive guys around him

175k a significant saving from Sheez Whit Zorko

Kicked 2 goals on the weekend to get to 105. Also 74% TOG.

It's one game but I can't see him stepping up to be close to the likes of Whitfield, Sheezel or even Nic Martin. Flanders too when fit.

Wouldn't put him bad buy or must have. Nice, reliable option to have and shouldn't let you down. Similar to Jordan Clark.

I've considered it. Was hot on him during the pre-season but went away from starting him as I thought B Smith coming in and Stewart/Humphries taking more points off half back would limit him.

I’m looking at Taylor to Lashcroft
Then either
Hastie to Knevitt 190k bank or Hall 391k
Or
Hollands to NWM 61k fixes the back line to fit performing rooks in the mids

The worry of moving Leake from UTL into the backline is if I don't then trade a mid for a defender by the end of bye rounds I'll have 2 DEF rookies on field.

However with Coleman and Mills possibly back by R5, the backline may be in vogue for early upgrades.
