There is no way Callaghan or Green move out for a 31 year old Cogs if theyre playing like they are, more likely to see Kelly drop a few CBAs to fit in Cogs imo
Woudlnt make any sense for Callaghan to drop below 70% CBAs while playing like he is, would be madness
Yeah they’d shift Kelly back to the wing if anything

First Trade Hollands > Max Hall

Then heavily considering Perryman > Zorko. Insane run coming up for Brisbane - play Geelong, WCE at the Gabba and then Richmond at the G. Then play Collingwood, WB and St Kilda who give up plenty in defence usually. Last year I got a massive surge up the rankings jumping on Zorko early, so strategy is taking a punt as C and hopefully get 1 or 2 monster scores. Everyone will be jumping on SDK, Lindsay, Freijah etc so the play is getting a jump with points but this could backfire.

Means I miss out on SDK and Lindsay although already have Lashcroft, Lalor, Freijah Camporeale and FOS. Will target SDK the following week.

I've been looking at Day to Neale this week (crazy I know). Neale is now under 980k and has Eagles this week. I know he will (probably) still drop in price but I think it isn't a crazy play considering Brisbane has a great run the next 6 weeks.

If you look at what Neale did last season after the games he was hard tagged:
R6 Giants Bedford tag (62) then next week R7 Suns (137)
R14 Saints Windhager tag (50) then next week R15 Port Adelaide (135)
R19 Swans Jordon tag (69) then next week R20 Suns again (129)

Neale knows how to bounce back big the very next game. It is a crazy trade to do in just round 2, but if it works you are laughing.
I agree but he’s got a few more tag threats coming up

Tigs if they use Macintosh again
Saints with Windy
Pies with Sidey or Perryman
Geelong have O’Connor

So frustrating having all of Rankine, SDK, Freijah and Knevitt in my team initially, but replacing them with Sanders, Garcia, Taylor and Perryman pre-lockout, and now I'm trying to get them back in reverse. Has cost me about 150 points, plus the value...
Thinking highest priority is to get SDK and Lindsay in this week for Taylor & Garcia (sounds like a lot are doing the same)

Yeah that is the concern with Neale and why Dunkley is the much better option if you have the cash to get up to him.

But Neale is now priced at 95 and has a very fantasy friendly fixture even with the chance of tags. The risk is slightly lessened by best 18 the next few weeks. I'm probably not going to go there, but someone slightly more insane than me might.

Man this trade is risky but it makes my structure so much better with both Lindsay/Ashcroft onfield and removing Garcia for a top 6 forward in Rankine, which basically means ive got 5/6 top 6 forward locks and can trade Sanders later on.

The other option is going Prior up to Freijah instead of Rankine and keep Garcia at F6 while banking $200k.

Or i can just go Garcia > Hall and Hastie > Lindsay which is probably best for cash gen but means Lindsay on the bench which i don't like... This is such a hard decision for me, kinda hope Hastie is out to make it easier.

I don't think there's anything risky about those trades. I'd see Garcia as a failed pick and Day has to be moved sooner rather than later.

Yeah i do agree but its more so Garcia could pop for his 80+ games, same with Day, i do see Day as a trade now or hold till round 10 or so as his run opens up after his bye. But i feel like the cash gen for this trade isn't as good as a Garcia > Hall and Hastie > Lindsay..

Maybe not as much cash gen., but getting a keeper for Rankine's price outweighs a little cash generation and increases points on field. Lindsay could well be one of the best rookies this year with the potential to match Day over the next few rounds, factoring in the early bye points loss if keeping

Yeah i tend to agree.. Also i feel this change makes Perryman, Sanders and Hastie my only big worries currently.

Option 1 is more cash wise - SDK has real risk if he reverts to back
The 2nd for points - Prior has a built in bye
Depends on the relative strengths of the Fwd v Backs

Precisely why I am thinking option 2. For me it was SDK or Freijah heading into R1. D6 is my rookie spot so downgrading to Prior for the byes isn't a concern with all other green dots I'll have. Smith looks absolutely primed and would hate to miss out on his points, potential F1 after seeing he can still play footy and is fit despite all the off field stuff.

I reckon it wont hurt to have another rookie on field in the forwards over these next few rounds, Konstanty looked good. Means Sanders down to him and pretty much grab any defender you want via Perry, shores up your defence line which is a tad weak

Projected to beat his BE by 2pts and rise $9k
Price rises are determined by the overall number of points scored in a round in the comp (from memory, I think the total amount of price rises need to equal or come close to the total amount of price falls).

There have been instances where a player makes their breakeven and actually falls in price if it was a high scoring round.

Surely Callaghan isnt your first priority trade out?
Hes far from a must trade, hes still under-priced based on what hes been doing so far with Eagles and Saints in his next 3 games

If you have a perfect team then sure, but if you have Perryman or any other player on the bye thats who id be dumping first for sure

Why do you say he needs to go? Surely not just because of the bye?
Callaghan far from the worst of my issues, I have Taylor too who I’m turning into SDK, but then don’t quite have enough cash to get from Hastie to Lindsay.

The Callaghan play was based purely on it being his bye. I think he will be a solid 95+ guy and still make cash.

I can get to Dunks as a premo fix up should I chose to, and I’m tempted tbh, and if I do I still am able to get Lindsay in

Thoughts on where to go here?

Priorities are moving on opening round players and getting Lindsay in but can’t find good ways to do it
With Best 18 i'd almost be tempted to go Callaghan - Lindsay and Taylor to a defensive premium. Gives you $1,092m to play with plus any cash you have in the back. Could grab NWM, maybe Zorko if you have some spare cash?

For Best 18, means you have 17 mid pricers or premiums on field and then get a look at Trainor, Reid (loop), Ashcroft, Lindsay, Garcia, Davidson (Kako loop) as your 18th player.

I think I'm going to give Garcia another chance.

Structure wise to fit both Levi/Lindsay in, I need a guy who can stay in the FWDS with that FWD DPP as my utility is Henderson.

Hopefully Garcia can have 1-2 good weeks and show us why we picked him. I am hopefully he can push 70 scores and his BE is only 34

Yeah Garcia isn't the end of the world to run this week in a Best 18 I think. I'm ditching Hastie and Perryman because I think Hastie will likely be dropped and Perryman I didn't really want in the first place.
