I care less about the “difficulty” of the fixture and more about a) how I as a fan get to have a good experience and b) how good it is commercially for the club.

On those second two metrics we’ve got the best fixture in years. A Thursday night game against Essendon (winnable). Three games at the MCG (including a nice winnable game against Richmond at the G, hopefully in the May sunshine. All seven Marvel home games look great to me.

If we finally, finally improve, we should be taking several wins from the likes of Melbourne, St Kilda, Essendon, Gold Coast, Adelaide, West Coast.

I think two wins against Richmond should be near guarantees. I only know about ten players on their current list.

3 MCG games is so good.

If you made it to the one against Melbourne then you know where I'm coming from.
Best loss I've been to. The mood was crazy behind the goals. Hopefully a hint of the emotions and scenes we'll see when this side starts to win regularly again. There's a lot waiting to come out!

I think they'll try to avoid it. Only way around it is if we get a home final against them.
That saying about bandaids comes to mind. I actually think they're making it worse and a bigger deal than just getting it done straight away. I couldn't care less about the flog and his team now.

finish second last but get 8th hardest draw lol

This can't be a surprise.

seems silly for them to try and avoid

its great drama for the afl

Mild mannered cheese board eating Melbourne supporters gave Scully too much shit when he went to GWS.

The AFl in no way want to see what would happen should he be put out in front of our crowd at home.

He'd cry on field and probably get pelted with dummies.

Don't mind it. Feels like the league are showing us respect (free-to-air games, 3 'G games, no Geelong in Geelong) and expecting the team and North fans to turn up in response. Like it or not, small teams will generally cop the blunt end of the stick, and this is the 'biggest' fixture we've had in a fair while. Particularly given our recent performance. I'll take increased difficulty with increased visibility over graveyard shift games every other week in a heartbeat

If the Tiggers keep finishing near the bottom of the ladder for a few seasons l can see them playing more games at Marvel and less at the MGC due to diminishing supporters, who will be turning up to games. :laughv1:

North Melbourne players will have to Google "MCG" for them to remember how to get there on the one occasion we get scheduled to play. :crossmark:
Three - including one against a team who don't normally play there.

Our first home game at Docklands will be against Freo, the Suns, GWS or some other low drawing opposition
Melbourne. Not a blockbuster, not a minnow.

All North Melbourne players can confidently make social arrangements for Thursday and Friday nights safe in the knowledge they won't be required to play football.
One away Thursday night. More than I thought

Death, taxes and North playing at Pork Barrel Park against the Cats every year. :crossmark:
Thank God

Jason Horne-Francis will never play against North Melbourne at Docklands. Lock in the Power at Adelaide Oval. ✅
No surprise

A potential 30k+ crowd against the Hawks will be wasted by playing them in Hobart in front of family and friends. ✅
UTas. What a waste

Gather Round at some poxy suburban ground or country paddock. ✅
Barossa Valley

Free to air games will be Good Friday and...maybe one other.
Haven't worked this out. The Thursday night game against * will be the one other.
