The Flex position is an on-field scorer ....not a bench playerWhat happens if your flex players score is lower than on field players score??
What happens if your flex player scores less than on field player??
I like this! Particularly early-season when rookie lotto is in full swingThe Flex position is an on-field scorer ....not a bench player
You have 23 scorers now, with the worst score dropping off ....so you get best 22 scores every week outside the byes where we get best 18 ....which means in the bye rounds, your 5 worst scores fall off
I'd have to check but I reckon I woulda won the $50k each of the last few years if it was best 22 out of 23I like this! Particularly early-season when rookie lotto is in full swing
Great explanation Wayne, it really simplifies it.The Flex position is an on-field scorer ....not a bench player

nahAnd we have what, about 300k equivalent extra to spend on the flex?
Agree with this.....it seems they've reduced the magic number from 5590 down to 5386 approx. to get the players price.nah
i think the budget is same , but they reduced prices across the board to accomodate the extra player apparently.
Do you think that this makes starting as many of last seasons top 10 better value per spot?Agree with this.....it seems they've reduced the magic number from 5590 down to 5386 approx. to get the players price.
Yeah, but we had on average 333k for all the players previously. So with the reduced prices and one extra to buy, you can't buy an extra premonah

Yep the 31st player will be a rookie.Yeah, but we had on average 333k for all the players previously. So with the reduced prices and one extra to buy, you can't buy an extra premo
Or if you trade and boost like I did last season it may be your 21st to 31st players are all rookies most non-playing spuds as well.Yep the 31st player will be a rookie.
Still waiting to see what the SuperCoach Cartel do with Harry Boyd.Big watch on how Saints play Harry Boyd.
With early byes, you may not need a loop, so a playing R3 would be best utilised. Post byes it's likely a rookie would have been dropped or injured by then to loop as well.
If Harry is R only, I doubt anyone would want to be hamstrung with a ruck in their Flex that they can't move anywhere early in the year.
Other option is to put Harry in Flex, but I'm liking the noise about SDK.....
Phillip is what this kent calls his thighs
I thought the winner of SuperCoach did so by scoring the most points not making the most cash.Seems like the optimal strategy early will be to use it for additional cash gen, with the line it comes from depending on how many rooks / value options appear on each line.
Yeah, as long as the Flex position outscores your bench rookies that seems the way to use it.Isn't the only "strategy" picking an extra ruckman? It's just best 22 scores out of 23 now, as long as your flex is a green dot, it does not matter who you have there. Right?
Does it even matter if it's a ruck?Isn't the only "strategy" picking an extra ruckman? It's just best 22 scores out of 23 now, as long as your flex is a green dot, it does not matter who you have there. Right?
For scoring potential. Rucks score very well, often outperforming ultra premo mids.Does it even matter if it's a ruck?
