There has been some aggro from publishers of articles in recent months about sites that copypasta their content onto other sites, particularly the paywalled ones, which could lead to fines and whanot for those that do it. Apparently there are copywrite laws for these things. As a result we can no longer have full articles reposted here, so if you come across something then please refrain from nabbing the whole thing and just post the link. Quoting a paragraph or two and linking the source is fine however, just don't get greedy.

We got 33,000 to a Gold Coast home game at Optus in 2018 round three. Be very surprised if it was less than that. If we're going badly 37500, if we're flying could be 45000+

Yep but I reckon that Gold Coast game was our lowest attended game at Optus Stadium by some distance. Pretty sure they closed Level 5 initially before opening it back up.

Realistically North Melbourne’s fan base is not comparable to Gold Coast’s especially over here.

I did start my post by saying Victorian fan attendances are sh** when their team is not playing a Victorian side. Think the results would be damning if you compared WA and SA teams crowds (excluding derbies) to Victorian teams when they play non-Victorian opposition. Some crowds wouldn’t be that much better than the average crowds of teams some of those fans would call ‘small clubs’. The Collingwoods, Richmonds etc. are the reason that St Kilda, North Melbourne etc. are even remotely close to viable.

FWIW I’m not attending the North Melbourne game despite having a membership. Won’t be in the country that week so one less member attending.

Also think I’d go to every Freo away game in Perth I was here for if there was nine other teams that played here and tickets were as easy as they are to get in Melbourne.

I sat in 309 and Behind me was a family of West coast supporters cheering gold coast on the entire game. All clad head to toe in West coast gear. They were absolute di#$heads and ruined the experience of the first half. We ended up moving away at half time.

Tbf it actually sounds believable enough.

I'd support renaming it tbh. Glendinning's attitude when Freo wanted some representation in the name of medal and the ego to override a selection committee makes me not really like him. Allan was our captain for what? Three years?
