Are they low on cash or something? They use to be able to recruit some real quality, but now all they are recruiting is div 4 players and 18 year olds out of high school

Can only assume they have stopped paying big for players. They used to bring plenty in but they were all outsiders so have moved on.

Tovey will be a 6 pointer...there's going to be lots of good players playing Reserves, and not sure how they are going to keep the gun U19's that were recruited from other clubs interested. Smart clubs will be picking them off which would be a disaster if Tovey doesn't dominate or last more than 1 year again.

Hearing gun defender James Waldon is joining former Fairpark coach Sean Stanton at Carrum/Patterson Lakes. Will be a huge loss for them, but many a forward in Div 3 will be happy hes gone.
I think at least a couple more will land with Stanton at Carrum now that Waldon has gone.

Depends on the circumstances of course, but never really rate this by a coach - taking your club’s players with you.
