Listening to NFL podcasts, they believe the exact same. In fact Michael Lombardi points to the teams that train at intensity as reflecting the teams at the top consistently and those that don't are usually the ones that seem to drop off and get injured.
This is bang on. How can you possibly be ready to compete in such a physical and demanding game with essentially 2 sessions a week and a soccer game on the weekend… IN PRE-SEASON!

I understand the AFLPA have set limits but that’s half the issue, they want to do less for more. We will continue to see this happening as time goes on. It’s embarrassing. We have essentially 4 weeks less training than the top clubs and it’s shown over the last 10 years! I don’t want to hear “blokes do their own work” because there is absolutely no world it’s near the intensity of a proper session, mind you they don’t even have to report it back to the club if they don’t want?

The loonies have gotten out again, I see. Fantastic.

The ignore button gets quite a workout these days.

Rose coloured glasses mate. Why is everyone so scared to call out shit performances from the club?

Players were back training at the club in October over a month before the official start of the pre season. They didn't have to be according to AFLPA rules but the AFLPA can't stop them either. You can see the photos in this thread.

I suspect that Passmore is one of the least likely to be wearing rose coloured glasses or of being afraid to call out poor performances. I saw his reference to the ignore button as being an appropriate way to deal with the poor performances of people posting garbage and constantly whining on bigfooty. A proposition that I agree with by the way.

Each club has a mandated break which begins from when their preceding season ends, so I'm not sure how you're working this out

I think you idiots are overlooking an important factor.
Chom joking about injuries.
Xerri getting on instagram saying he is ready for round 1.
Lmac pretending he made the selfless decision to step down.
The confidence is immense from this group 😤 can only mean it’s turning
Nice work.

Lets take a swing at finding silver lining with George injury. Which player benefits the most with this?

Phillips: If by the time George is returning Phillips isnt locked in best 22 we know what to expect of his career. Year 5 coming up, great off season. Ideally see similar to what Powell did last year. I remember genuine questions of who would take that spot on our list between Powell, Phillips and Laz and all 3 answered the question.

Powell: would play and be in our team regardless but will really be #2 inside mid only behind LDU. Has a real oppertunity to stamp why he was top 5 in our BNF.

Stephens? just by virtue of being arguablly 24-26 may get games earlier and have oppertunity to lock spot in side with some good preformances.

There is always players that surprise each season for each club and take a leap. Curious who that is for us,

+ McKercher + FOS.

I personally reckon McKercher was already a lock and would get as much inside mid time as his body - and the club's long term interests - could handle.
