And because that's where we are our year last season should not really surprise people.

Especially given the instability off field ... with situations like the Hawthorn one and Thomas.

But its also worth remembering that while every team improves each year, well the best teams do, they usually only improve a little (or go backwards small/medium amount,) over a season. There are outliers obviously.

But three of our most important and influential players - Sheeze, X and Paul Curtis - are 10 games either side of 50. A bunch more will be nearing 50 with a full season behind them.

I reckon we are pretty stacked players wise. I don’t think pushing for finals is crazy. Get a few wins early and confidence wise I could see us having a solid year
In 50 games time we should see:

Jy around 200; LDU, Larkey, Zurhaar, between 140 and 200; Powell, Logue and Scott between 100 and 150; Sheeze, X, Curtis, Warlord, Chom, Arch, Kerch and maybe a few others between 50 and 100, some of them just over 100.

We may have players like Parker and Daniel still playing good footy and even darling might be kicking goals. There's a bunch of other players who can play roles and improve or be replaced by better trades.

So the first half of 2025 might not be as good as the second but the second should be much better.

The first month is crucial

Although even if we start poor the hawks will be the inspo going 0-5 to finals

Keep your September free lads

Anyone have any sense for how much of an improvement there's been in training standards pre-break? Hearing good things but I've also caught a couple of clips of St Kilda and the Bulldogs and they look bit more intense than us.
Not saying that they're NOT training more intensely, but the highlighted is a big reason why it looks like they are training harder. It's a clip.
You're not seeing the full 2-3 hrs out on the track, you're seeing curated highlights fed to their fans.

It could be as simple as their media team choosing more intense highlights.
or they're actually training harder shrug

The AFL program will resume on Thursday, January 9, with the club to re-open on Monday, January 13.

So the players back jan 9
But the club is closed til 13th?

Who honestly cares that the staff are back on the following Monday?

Going to see Critical Role in Melbourne June 25th, so thought I'd look at extending the stay and watching North play in Melbourne.

Just so happens, that we play the next day... in Tasmania vs the Hawks.

Kerch will still play half back/mid rotation. Daniel will help Kerch drive the ball in attack.

I dont know where this talk of Kerch on a wing comes from. FOS and Butcher Scott will be on the wings.
Hopefully expect the following en repeat:

Intercept mark Comben (full back) > short kick to Daniel who marks (Centre-half-back) > 35 metre 45 degree kick inbound kick to bounding McKercher > Kerch runs 35 metres and delivers a dart to a leading Larkey.

X 80 in 2025.

Larkey wins the Coleman. Chom, Kerch and Daniel make the AA.

North win 16 matches and wins the premiership.

one avenue to goal from half back is too easily picked off. Hope it works
