Glimpse, if and would detected.

You're right but we need to expect more.
Yeah ... it was a sliding door moment for the season.

But its worth remembering that if could show those glimpses as a young, inexperienced side with the shithouse go we got from umps then when we develop some consistency and those younger players are older and harder we will be a very good side.

And we should have won that game, not because of Bailey Scott's missed 50 but because a goal that was clearly touched wasn't overturned in a game we lost by a point. It was a sketchy, bullshit decision and it got no scrutiny in the week afterward.

To be fair it took “the bunker” 25 seconds to realise Collingwood played on from a Harry sheezel free kick in the pocket and that the umps might want to intervene

We had zero leadership nor experience in dealing with a performance like that since we’ve been so shit for so long

The players were as shocked as we were

3x of the players we brought in have been there and done that. And now players have too.

We will be better next year 💙

Saw some of the worst and most corrupt umpiring all year? Where have you been?! 🤣
Oh I've seen worse. Much worse.

It's just up there in terms of the awful officiating I've seen. I can name all the instances but that would take too long which means putting in more effort than the AFL does when it comes to training umpires.

The explanation the week after turned one AFL official to become known as the Unicorn ever since.

One of the most bizarre pieces of umpiring I have ever seen.
The non fifty to Scott trumps it because of the most insipid of justifications from the leagues diversity hire.

The excuse was an out and out lie. The entire set of umpires from that match should have been suspended and the league ought to have at least made a "sincere" apology to North Melbourne. A second apology should have been made for the non-reviewed "goal" that was touched by Scott.

And even now, it would be the right thing to do for Kane, to apologise to Scott for the way she attempted to blame him for the two Collingwood players running well over the mark when in other situations, a player who takes a half step over the mark is penalised immediately.

I'd say she's pound for pound the highest paid complete and utter imbecile going around. How she got the job is pure DEI nonsense.

I'm willing to give her a bit more of a go before I go nuclear, but i'm warming up the silos that's for sure.

We did just win a flag undefeated in the girls. I'd imagine that ticked a box somewhere.

It's hard to tell if you are being sarcastic in saying the women's team winning a premiership and going through a season undefeated "ticked a box" - are you suggesting that has been awarded some sort of DEI value but is otherwise irrelevant?

The Brayden Maynard ‘smother’ on Brayshaw and the Harris Andrews ‘spoil’ on Coniglio are just as bad as anything in that game. Agree the touched goal was terrible. All plays somehow justified as acceptable by Laura Kane as operations manager 🙄
She has NFI

Oh god, I knew there'd be people like you who would be offended FML. But largely in terms of my support for the NMFC, yes, sorry if that offends you - but other than the NMFC girls on occasion, the female PGA on occasion, female skiers on occasion and Matildas at biggish tournaments- I just don't watch or care for that matter about a lot of girls sports. I would never watch the NMFC Girls Live if that helps you paint me as a misogynist. I'll wear it, not with glee as I don't hate it, but I'd probably rather watch the horses if they were on.

I was merely replying to a Poster and knew that he would agree.

I derived more enjoyment out of the Girls Premiership than my post suggests, certainly more than the poster I responded to likely did. And more than I expected. But, and I say this with absolute respect to the girls, I support the Men's Team. That is why I care. I want the girls to win, sure, they represent us really well. But am I going to work angry on a Monday if they lose? I don't think so.

I knew my response would attract people like you, I stupidly posted it and didn't delete. I am sorry if I have offended you, not really but sort of.

Oh they'll come for you too... just you wait.

Gee this thread goes through shit patches when there isn't trainings to report on.

Yep.
The usual posters reverting to the mean - literally.

I genuinely don't get this.

Are people not allowed to express an opinion about an AFL Exec on an AFL forum?

Is this State so pathetic now, that perfectly reasonable discussion is now objected to, with subjective feelings now overriding objective facts, due to inherent meannesses?

I get that people are more interested in their feels these days, but facts are still important. Nobody has done anything, to my mind, except express facts. That you don't like factually correct information is not, I'm sorry you're just finding this out, anyone else's problem but yours, dear.
