Not at all, I'm the first dickhead telling everyone every year how much we're going to improve and always fooled by the training and imtra club write ups! This season will be no different, I'm just waiting for the new year.Letās not wash through any optimism at all guys!
Best to just keep our heads down until these turnips deliver because we cannot bear to believe that there may be some improvement around the youngest group in the comp benefiting from cumulative pre-seasons.
Iām so grateful that we have so many on here that keep our expectations realistic and temper any potential joy some might get from observing development.
My return to pessimism feels much better than looking for improvement.
I appreciate you guys delivering doses of harsh reality and waking us up to the folly of excitement around something that is a past time we are invested in.
Dead set - we might look back in 10 years and think we were blessed, of course, that's assuming the AFL would have shafted us on McKay and we couldn't have got both. A fair assumption based on history IMO.Lucky we beat Gold Coast in that last game ā¦
Well we would have selected him anyway. The GC result is more a sliding doors between Reid and McKercher and McKercher and Duursma. So far itās pretty safe to say Reid is ahead of Duursma, but weāll see how next year pans out!Lucky we beat Gold Coast in that last game ā¦
That assumes that the AFL wouldn't game the system if we finished last. Not a safe assumption IMO.Well we would have selected him anyway. Don't reckon there's any chance they would've given us pick two. That assumes that the AFL wouldn't game the system if we finished last. Not a safe assumption IMO.
Looks like weāve picked up Nathaniel Sulzberger for our VFL. Great pick up as a young mid.
Looks as though Benny Hopkins is back too.
Love those additions.
Gathered from my viewing of the photos
They are bound to follow their own formula otherwise what integrity is left? In any case there isnāt that much difference between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3 so not that much incentive to game it. First three to four picks in any draft is like gold dust. That assumes that the AFL wouldn't game the system if we finished last. Not a safe assumption IMO.
Sweet summer child. They have zero integrity. They are bound to follow their own formula otherwise what integrity is left? In any case there isnāt that much difference between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3 so not that much incentive to game it. First three to four picks in any draft is like gold dust.
Surprised Luffy didn't work that into an algo and draft Wayne from St Albans....based on back testing, statistically anyone named Wayne could have got a look in.The Waynes are in contention and there are only 3 of them that really stick out.
Carey, Schwass, Schimma.
Given their top end they would probably be hard to beat.
A lot further North of Melbourne....on the Lions list and one of 13 kids! Wispa, Joc, Shadeau, Wynta, Jasper, Forest, Jed, Zac, Brittany, Whilloe, Carrissa, James and Brendan.Famous North melbourne man Shadeau Brain
Nice me too! Might have been the Wednesday after the big dance from rough memory,,,,,a few mates and I had lunch at the club and waiting for one of the players to rock up for photos,,,,,remember Schwatter arriving in an old pair of track pants and t shirt, clearly a bit worse for wear but seemed to genuinely enjoy holding the cup and posing for photos with all the fans, like it belonged to all of us.WS and me in a photo holding up that Gold Cup
$20 well spent and now its priceless
We should sticky an alternate training report for those that prefer...Letās not wash through any optimism at all guys!

Don't care how many possies he gets if he can put a clamp on Bont, Day, Neale, Daic etc...Just with the asterisk that we tell him to handball it whenever he gets it. Those kicking 'highlights' were something
Goad was getting repeatedly out-positioned by Pink in training drills last year. Let's hope he starts learning how to use that frame and reach of his.Goater doing alot of running today. Not full throttle, but stepping it up.
Him, W Dawson and Comben (plus a few others) doing some drills away from the main group. None looking particularly hampered. Surprised by Dawson. Shoulder op wasn't that long ago, but you wouldn't know anything was wrong.
McKercher's a machine.
O'Sullivan is not much to look at, but there were a few 'wow' moments with his evasion and acceleration.
Goad is looking like a different human being compared to last year.
Daniel's foot skills are a different level.

Parents get to Carrissa and concede they're out of ideas?A lot further North of Melbourne....on the Lions list and one of 13 kids! Wispa, Joc, Shadeau, Wynta, Jasper, Forest, Jed, Zac, Brittany, Whilloe, Carrissa, James and Brendan.

The āreverse engineerā lever. There's a 'formula' in the same way the MRO grades for suspensions based on a formula. It's there to give the appearance of 'fairness' but in reality has enough mystery subjective levers that can be pulled to engineer whatever outcome the AFL want.
Unleashed on a wing, he will be doing those 60 metre run then kicks we saw against the suns.Sheezel being one out of the box has let this kid squeeze under the radar a bit. He is an absolute weapon.
