I'm still surprised how many people think Colbys going to a wing. He's got the potential to be the best player out of all of them and it won't be on a wing. I think once the practice matches are done we'll see where he's at, on the inside and resting at half back. I've got no idea where this wing rubbish came from.
It comes from, playing wing isn't some 'demotion' or lesser position. We haven't had an elite wing player in a long time. Probably since we were last a threat.

It's a bastard drill in hot weather especially if you don't manage to retain the ball and then you can't intercept for the next couple of end-to-ends. Players dead on their feet on the defending team while the other teams are gliding across the turf.
That sounds exactly like what happens in a real game when you're getting caned - probably means its good practice, if nothing else training you to associate pain with getting flogged.

Clarko started Xerri as main ruck in rd1 2023 pre-injury Gaso. The writing was well and truly on the wall but many didn't want to see it.

Many there was and it’s all there to see.

This is an act of I made a mistake.

Pity that others on the board can’t ever offer anything up other than an incessant self righteousness..

Any sense from trackwatchers about which of RHJ or Konstanty are looking more likely to get an early call up?
Have to say RHJ atm purely as Konstanty has been on modified program and hasn't joined in for main activities so he'll be behind the eight ball. Also RHJ has been training harder and more involved in play than last years training that I saw.

You don't stick your best mid, who has a thirst for the contest on the wing. It's ridiculous.
He isn't our best mid. Why? He hasn't played a single minute on-ball yet. It's like saying Matt Whitlock is our best key defender. It may one day be true, but until then "it's ridiculous".

When you’ve got LDU, sheez , warlord , Parker ect I can find it very easily to put Kerch on a wing

Has all the attributes to be our best mid.
Agree. But until he goes past Parker, Simpkin, Powell, Wardlaw at a minimum, and assuming we want him further up the ground, the wing is a good spot for him. From there I imagine he'll still get on-ball minutes.
