Daniel had hamstring awareness last week. Running at a decent clip today so obviously precautionary

That makes sense… he had a thumb bandaged so we just figured hand related. You’re right, he was traveling pretty well. I thought the same of Brayden George too.

Yeah can’t believe George will be out for half the year plus given how he’s moving already. But slow and steady is best for a guy coming off 2 knees

- Larkey probably 5 goals on comben.

- comben man up ffs Charlie. It was like Oscar Allen in Hobart all over again
Gotta say this was one of the reasons I liked Comben forward. I just don't see him as a stopper (although I would imagine the club doesn't necessarily either and it's Logue then Dawson in the long term planning for that type of role). He could be a brilliant intercepting defender, but I don't see a player that looks likely to stand 1v1 at this point.

It was very encouraging, he’s clearly left no stone unturned on the things he has been able to work on.

Didn’t seem much to worry about. Looks like he’s got a hand injury (he spent the back part of the session with Corr running, Apple also had his hand in a brace). There’s certainly no worries with rapport, all the new guys have blended in well. Daniel had started gelling well pre Xmas, should be out there by the intraclub at least.
Yep Logue said the new guys had fitted in well and happy to have their experience last thurs.

He was the worst key defender (who actually played a double digit number of games) in the league for % of 1-on-1 contests lost. It's intercepting or nothing. To me, it feels imbalanced to play him down back when we have guys like Logue, Corr, and the Dawson brothers waiting in the wings. Compare that to the cattle up forward: Larkey and a whole lot of flotsam that if combined into one player, might make for a long term key forward option

Comben is a poor defender. Thats why. He is okay being loose but as 1v1 he aint it

To be fair, he doesnt even seem to try 1 vs 1. It’s like he doesnt understand a defender needs to stay with the forward. Larkey would just run up the ground, Comben would fluff around in the centre, larkey by himself kicks a goal.

He seems to confused about his role. That he had to inter to everything and not stop his opponent

I, er, think we got that the first time sherm. :thumbsu:
Dr House Oops GIF

Could that be because Chom is a forward being played out of position ????? ....New Year, and the debate continues.

For the 400th time, he is an instinct player and intercepting in the backline or moving in the forward line is where he is best. Considering the investment in Dawson and Whitlock, I assume the match committee don't see him playing back long term. I always thought his intercepting was a little overrated.
