The Lmac bit was a joke but Sheeze was one of the best mids in the comp late last season.
He was.

I don’t see him playing majority midfield minutes this year. More of a split between mid and forward.

Pretty simple. Bigger body very often means worse running. River Stevens likely isn’t even carrying 70kgs around. I guarantee if they released the top ten on the bench press or squat rack we’d be seeing extremely different top ten. Cunners was always close to the back of the pack on these things…

This is why Goldy was such a ****ing beast.

Sheezel has put on significant muscle and retaining his fitness. It’s exciting.

Just saw Steve Smith on 7 Sport at a training session in Sri Lanka... with a tennis racquet & tennis ball!

Clarko has started a worrying trend & will get McDonalds sacked

If we need him in the midfield and he dominates like he did late last year then he'll play there.

Even of they start him on the FF half the time I reckon he'll just follow the ball around anyway, effectively playing as a mid.

Anyone have the inside word on the date and time of the North V Melbourne practice match at Arden Street.

Sounds likes it’s Saturday 21 February but the time hasn’t been announced yet.

Thanks in advance.

I've been to many preseason intras/sim games over the last few years and this by far has been the best. Better intensity, skills and a discernible game plan...

Club is coasting at the moment, night and day compared to some other clubs and that is a key reason why we finish bottom 2 year after year.

I'm confused. Are we more intense than we've been in many years or are we coasting? Or are these Schrödinger's training sessions?

Can also confirm that the bottom few were Payne (last), Konstanty, Goater + Harvey, and Comben.
I understand Goater being in the last group, Chom and Konstanty are coming off interrupted preseasons so that’s understandable to a degree. Harvey looks like he’s improved in other areas but clearly still has a lot of work to do on his endurance. Payne is a concern feels like he’s a long way off it.

Edit - It’s Payne’s first preseason after all so prepared to cut him some slack.

I honestly think all of those were noticeably engaged in the rest of the session. I’m not saying they are or aren’t fit but they could have just run themselves into the ground in the prior 2 hours

Good point. Perhaps I was being a bit unfair on Payne it is his first preseason after all.
