There’s no training today mate
Apologies, thought someone said there was, and that they were there.

Despite this fact, someone should be posting up reports even if there is no training. Every single day.

If the standard of training is poor on the days we train I hate to think what it's like on the days we don't train.

Exactly. How can we expect the players to train 24/7 if we don't set an example.

Sounds like a mexican standoff, Archer realizing PC is flipping strong, and PC that Archer is an Archer and most likely just flipping mad.
Daniel was in there breaking it up. He didn't look too pleased. Then on the outside Zurharr was standing right near me having a good old laugh at their expense.

Is it both the worst training sessions and best training session till you rock up, or the club is both dead and alive?
A Tale of Two Sessions – It was the best of training sessions. It was the worst of training sessions.

Role changes and who’s ‘tearing up the track’:
Burgeoning star Harry Sheezel has mixed between midfield and forward in the pre-season, as the Kangaroos integrate veteran ball-winner Luke Parker into their engine room rotation. Parker has seen plenty of centre-bounce looks with Luke Davies-Uniacke and George Wardlaw, in addition to patches playing deep forward, as expected. Sole skipper Jy Simpkin is another who will see plenty of forward-half minutes. Second-year hybrid Colby McKercher, while seemingly poised for more run through the middle, is set to start across the half-backline, while developing key tall Charlie Comben looks very settled in the back half. Second-year ruckman Taylor Goad has impressed track-watchers, with the untried South Australian chomping at the bit to make a senior impression in 2025 despite sitting behind Tristan Xerri and Brynn Teakle in the pecking order. Nick Larkey has dominated in match simulation and will benefit from the support of veteran recruit Jack Darling.

Injury latest:Zane Duursma (shoulder), Jacob Konstanty (foot), Geordie Payne (shin) and Josh Goater (Achilles) all made late January training returns. Key backman Griffin Logue continues in his recovery from wrist surgery, and while he hasn’t taken part in match simulation to this point, he is expected to make a full return by the start of the season proper. Fellow key defender Aidan Corr, also sidelined after needing to undergo finger surgery, is nearing a full return of his own, likely by the start February. And speaking of key-position pillars, Callum Coleman-Jones is slated for a May-June return following an Achilles tear on Good Friday last year. Brayden George (knee), meanwhile, won’t see the field until as late as June.

Match simulation: vs. Melbourne at Arden Street, Saturday February 22, time TBC

Big X is 200cm tall. As tough as Nails and made the AA Squad from Pick 72, a North-supporter (one of us). Gun.

'Simmo' in a tuxedo and bow tie (I'd happily claim it but it's the Old Man's lol), all jokes aside, should really be doing a bit better (if he even ran).

Logue was in the match sim yesterday.

I was there last year and have to say intensity up. In particular our ability to lock ball in. Last year was much to one sided.

Notes from me to add to the others for the day…

Concern from my end was KPD not playing today. Logue, Corr and Archer not out there. I did see someone say Arch was out there but I didn’t see him if he was. KD and Chom prob competing for that third spot assuming no injury. Both had moments today but wasn’t our strongest line. Finbar is interesting there with his athleticism aswell. I just have to assume W Dawson as a Forward will be the plan. More so if Finbar and Matlock are added to defensive stocks.

Goater was great to see having a run. He did deliver some beautiful kicks from the backline and competed really well with the taller oppo like Larkey when rotating. Wouldn’t be surprised if he replaced LMAC this season at some stage.
LMAC unfortunately had a poor day for my mind. 1st qtr out marked by Larkey and Finbar. Prob why I have Goater ahead of him long term.
Duurs is a watch for me. Seems alittle seperate to the group and just not quite gelling yet. Could just be me though… hope it is. Also coming off an injury.
Players in 2nd gear who just show brilliance when they want to are LDU, Sheez and Xerri. Almost add Kerch. I thought Kerch was off then on the 2nd half started to show his talent.
Fisher looks super focused. I feel his work rate and drive has been super high. Same goes for WAP as noted.
Hardeman natural footballer. Had less of the ball today but effective when he has it.
Bull was ok but will want more from him start of the year.
Won’t go into huge detail but obvious standouts being Powell, Phillips, Finbar, Larkey.
Goad has come a mile. I still don’t think plays this year but if he improves at this rate he will be elite. Much more of a competitor then I saw last year.
I’d be more disappointed if Larkey wasn’t able to outmark LMac than the other way around…
