If the club were ahead of the curve they’d put ME in charge of the socials.
Is Martine Jager a Lion's fan personally or looking at providing sponsorship (since Richmond sucks atm) or are you thinking more of their marketing division?

Popped down to training today for the first time at a Lions preseason training - what a beautiful setting Springfield is surrounded by bush, once you get out there.

I'll stick to the positives:
  • Logan Morris was the standout - as has been reported he's changed his body shape. He's not huge but he's lean and strong - and still very creative and skillful.
  • Anyone who has Jaspa Fletcher out of their 22 needs to add him back in - he's not going anywhere. He does everything right - marking, handballing, running. Absolute lock.
  • In general, I'm not expecting too many changes to our best 22 - the senior players look like the senior players for good reason.
  • Day trained and looked good. Brandon Ryan looked better too.
  • Sam Marshall was out there and seems to have nice hands and skills, but was a bit rushed - I think he'll start in the VFL.
  • Kai and Willmott had real presence - I think they go next level this year.
  • Rehab group - Linc, Kiddy, Starc, Neale, Hipwood, Oscar, Rayner, W.Ash, Henry Smith. Didn't see Doedee. Levi on limited training.

This is great. Thankyou mate. Mainly ball work or some full ground drills of note?

A couple of things I missed - of the guys outside the 22 at the end of the year Id think Tunstill and Bruce are next in line. McKenna looked good, as did Answerth.

Bailey also looked sharp.
We need to get Bailey more involved in the game than playing on a wing. That kick of his to Cameron in the last quarter against Geelong to set up Ah Chee's first go-ahead goal (76-70) was absolutely pinpoint. Both Charlie and Cal had men on them, but the kick was so good, not only did the Geelong players have no chance of intercepting or spoiling, but Charlie and Cal could have raffled the mark.

Then in the Grand Final, that kick of his to find Dunkley in the 3rd quarter in the lead up to Morris's goal, after fending off Blakey, was superb, in amongst two or three Swans.

His skills are being wasted on the wing; we need to get him more involved in an outside role. Whether that's coming off half back or rolling up as a high half forward, I'm not sure. And to be honest I don't care. He was certainly serviceable as a winger by season's end, but I can't help but thinking we are still only scratching the surface as to what he's capable of.
