Clayton Oliver case in point. No preseason meant he was horrid at the back end of the season.

The AFL quash many issues from many players my club included. Look at bud. Scallywag of the highest order especially early days. C Oliver. the AFL is all about brand & control the media.

It wasn't just his early days, nothing else was heard or said about the 5 parked cars that he wrote off after they jumped out in front of his car while driving in Sydney

I’ve been staying outta the Jamma stuff due to knowing certain things but respecting privacy.

The kid has some extreme external pressures from an incredibly complex off field (family) situation.

The club is doing its absolute best to support, to the point the AFL has told certain media personalities to just leave this one alone (this only works for so long), and this is why I’m now posting as the cat seems to be out of the bag with media.

As far as I’m told from several people closer to the situation, zero to do with (him doing) drugs. But I am lead to believe that it’s such a complex situation that, and I quote, “wouldn’t be surprised if he retired early and left the country for a prolonged period of time to escape”.

I won’t answer any follow up on this, that’s all I know. Hopefully the club puts out a solid statement so the media and fans leave him be.

Hopefully he has a strong support network to help him through his current situation

It would be criminal for the game to lose such an amazing talent

Ultimately, life is way more important

I can’t help but think the two year deal was as much the club’s idea as his management’s.

Apparently he’s great with supporters etc and he seems pretty likeable. It’d be a shame if he didn’t make it with us because of all of this. Hopefully he pulls it together.

He always says he loves the dogs and owes them for having faith in him and developing him…I don’t see him being the Smith mercenary type

One guess which club the muppet I circled goes for…..didn’t even have to look at his profile to know….and yes any answer other than Essendon is incorrect. The same club who hasn’t won a final in the social media age and the same club who literally injected their own players….you can’t make this shit up

Flexible training arrangements is a new one. No one can say the club hasn’t supported him.

WFH is a thing now….maybe not in footy….but perhaps JUH is one of those belligerent ones who won’t come back to the office because they can now get 9 holes in before “work”

Only Jamarra knows what’s going on with Jamarra. The only thing I am confident of is that he’s being paid 80-90k per/month from the club and in return he’s spending his time boxing with his mates.

We’ve all got shit going on at home and in our families in varying degrees. Yep 18, 19 and 20 year-olds included, caucasian, indigenous or otherwise. This doesn’t mean you can desert your post at work and expect your employer to keep paying you. If he can’t cope with the job, he should quit or show-up (potentially through sufferance) and try to make the best of the situation This is a decision millions of people grapple with everyday. Why is it that footballers should be immune from the reality of 99% of the population?
