Membership revenue of $9.57m from 62k members gives an average membership revenue of just over $150.

Would be interesting to see how this compares to other clubs. Some membership totals seem spurious.
I suspect our membership totals are bollox as well. The last 2 seasons large jump in memberships hasn’t been fuelled by onfield success, but more likely the Kayo ‘digital memberships’.

Speaking membership….isnt it just great how once all the roll overs are done, they once again do a discounted membership for Black Friday. Yet another slap to the face.

Discount merchant, discount other stuff but membership should be full price at the time of year - actually ALL year

Maybe offer half price guernsey if you sign up on Black Friday or something…just show some respect to the pricks like me who keep paying up in full every year

I’m surprised at how low the gate takings are given how expensive tickets are.

Guess it’s membership and the figure from the AFL is literally balancing that out

We don’t do well on hospitality
Tickets are pretty cheap on Level 3 where many fans sit and the club seems to offer discounted tickets a fair amount of the time. Yep members attending and the stadium (i.e. the AFL) taking its cut of ticket sales would have a sizeable impact as well.

I'm not sure what makes up the hospitality category now but it used to relate to our two pokies venues and the Barkers Cafe which the club ran. Now the cafe is sub-let to the Alfa Bakehouse to operate with the club charging rent.

Truly a loyalty tax

Don't forget the $1 end of season memberships which probably added a few thousand and would have brought the average revenue per membership significantly down.

This is the first year I haven’t had my membership auto renu because my card changed. So happy.

I always email the club at how disappointed I am that I get charged the full price basically when the grand final finishes. Then they have SEN days where they give like 10 games for free. It’s gross.

Loved when Wightman did go through midfield. So much energy, just makes things happen. Would be great if that was on the radar more in 2025.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with playing him like the Swans do with Tom Papley. It’s very easy to get bogged down as a stay at home small forward.

Get him into the midfield for short spurts each quarter and have him play a really aggressive role moving forward.
