From what I saw today we will have a changing of the guard

Davidson
Hynes
Sanders
Gallagher
Darcy

All excellent

Brew
A.Jones
Gardy
Jod

All very good

Our midfield is going to look very different this year and a lot more dynamic. Anyone who thinks getting rid of Macrae and Daniel was a mistake needs to think again

Sanders, Gallagher and Ed all excellent. As was Darcy. Davidson looks a great pick up. Think Poulter big chance for Round 1. Played as a half forward in first half for blue and then more of a wing role for Green in second half. A good hit out from the boys in very windy warm conditions.

Our over 30's are a concern with injury. JJ, ADZ and Jones so far. Hope it does not extend to Libba and Lobb. Add JUH to this, our depth is getting tested and it is only early pre-season. Hope Jones is not serious.

Crossley is an interesting one. He is not the type of Ruckman that I would think Bevo would consider. He is big and strong and just barrows through the opposing ruck. He reminds me of a seventies style ruckman. I get Mick Nolan the Galloping gasometer vibes from him. If he fell on you you be hurt. Good luck to him.

I strongly believe he is the type of ruckman that will get us another flag

Went to the game today, my observations:

Tim English looked like he wasn’t to far away from playing, involved in all pre game activities, kicking etc and ran well in the sprints, if you were not aware he had a injury, going by the pre game warm up, he was good to go today

Sanders was clearly BOG, really trimmed down, gained some pace on last year

Davidson is a lock from Rd1, absolute steal getting him latter in the draft.

Arty Jones and Poulter have improved on last year, super impressed with Poulter involved in some really good plays todays

Overall we have improved on our speed from last year, definitely moving the ball a lot quicker and more efficient

Liam Jones twigged his hamstring not to far from where I was stationed, did not look to bad, hopefully only 2 to 3 week injury

Gallagher playing back is great. Inside mid never seemed to suit him.
Great to hear. We need one, and that's where his best pre-draft form was

Thanks for the report mate.
Great news re Hynes if he has passed your eye test

Can any of the watchers at the ground give us a rundown on how Crossley did?

Some of his ruck work in that clip was not very flattering (4:36 mark).

Yep I liked him. Kicked goals from left foot snaps. Can find the goals.

I wouldn’t be throwing him straight into the Rd team but he certainly could make an impact in the first half of the season.

Hynes was never a round pick, he needs to build his tank by all reports. In saying that, he could be a weapon in a couple seasons

Cooper Hynes has something about him too….had a good chat to him. Seems like a good lad and very vocal onfield
