Agree. Would make a really good CHB. Has the attributes, height, mobility, marking, competitiveness, speed. Could be a damaging rebounding CHB. Should fill out too like his dad and be a pretty big unit. A spine containing Bus, Croft, English, JUH, Darcy, Naughton and eventually Smith (young ruck variety) has us set for years to come. I’m pretty bullish on the midfield with Sanders, Red, Bont, Kennedy (I think we will see a fair bit of him in the middle as I think the cliff will come quicker for Liber than some may want or think and he will be managed this year - he is one serious injury off retirement), Garcia (post Trelor), so just need to plug the gaps around them. HFF (Kennedy can rotate there) and Wings (our persistent issue) and a lockdown small defender.Top 4 in the 2km time trial in the draft combine too. Insane endurance for a big guy.
His kicking makes football purists cry (especially for goal) but I really think he has gun CHB written all over him
Thats definitely not true. He's been out with an ankle of late, other than this clean out he hasn't had an issue with his knees for a few years now.His persistent knee injuries are a lot worse than they’re letting on, and he’s a genuine chance to retire.
Again, they’re just rumours.
From what we as fans can gather the clubs put a huge amount of faith in Cooper Lord, a young kid we picked up in the MSD this year who's played just the 2 games and dominated the VFL. Then obviously Jagga Smith too. Lord plays a fairly similar role in terms of playing that half forward/mid rotation but a bit different in terms of physical make up.
He's a far far better runner than Kennedy but nowhere near as good above his head and not as big/strong. Probably a bit similar to my boy Luke Kennedy in terms of being that sound defensive midfield option with neat skills. Bam Bam is more of a crash and bash beast who's just awesome to watch when he's moving well.
Blues have had issues in defensive transition and spreading from the contest for a while as most opposition fans would know, so I think they want to see Lord take Kennedy's spot in there as well as some other kids we have lined up for some midfield minutes to hopefully help with that a bit. Unfortunately with Cripps at the club playing Kennedy and Hewett together too was a bit of a disaster in terms of defensive run.
Here's a bit of a snip up if you weren't familiar with him and need a couple of names for supercoach/fantasy. Hopefully has an alright season this year in Bam Bams place but I think the club underestimated how much we as fans loved Matty.

Yes, my three step daughters and their families are all one eyed Carlton and very sad to see Bam Bam go, he seems a really good team first player.
We were sad to see Daniels and Macrae move on to, footy can be such a ruthless business.
Haven’t seen much about Cooper in any of the reports. I’ve been away all preseason but if anyone gets a decent look at him in match sims I’d love some insight on how he’s been going? I liked him in the juniors but was probably more impressed when he played as a bullocking marking forward than as a midfielder. Certainly one I’m not sure where he will eventually settle at AFL grade.Your forgetting or most recent first rounder, cooper Hynes who long term should be our burst bulking mid.
Sanders, Red, Bont, Kennedy, Garcia and Hynes looks good post Libba and Treloar

Yeah he was training with bulldogs playersdid anyone see the story about bont training at west coast on new years eve?
Yeah is there anything to suggest that Hynes is likely to become a dominant mid. Everything I read suggests he’s a forward.Haven’t seen much about Cooper in any of the reports.
