Davidson was used a lot on the wing

So him playing that high marking half forward is an option

I was abit suprised how well Mennedy did. Thought it'd take him awhile to work back into things off a slow pre season coming into a new squad, but his professionalism helps no doubt. Round 1 definitely on the cards for him. I have Davidson as a lock for that HHF/wing rotation at this point.

Now that my favourite Jacko has moved on to padding his retirement fund, I need to choose a new favourite. The Bont love is obviously there, but he’s on a different stratosphere than others, much like his footy.
Do you have a favourite (outside of The Bont)?
If so, who?
Open for recommendations as to whose guernsey to buy next to wear when watching the footy.

If I was to get a guernsey today, I’d probably be getting the 3 on the back. Weightman is a joy to watch and I love his energy and how he lifts the team, and Issy Grant wears it in the AFLW (I attend more AFLW than AFL games and would want a dual purpose number) and I think she’s great too.

I think we all underestimate the impact that Kennedy will have this year. 8th in the B&F for a finals blind side is nothing to scoff at and he’s likely an upgrade in Macrae’s role given he has some forward craft as well.

How did Harmes go? I like him as a player but feel like he’s directly competing with Kennedy for that hybrid HFF/mid role given I’d be playing Sanders in the side as well. Regardless, a very handy depth player.

I didn't notice Harmes, not sure if he was even out there. VitalDread might be able to answer that one.

Agree with this

Both Harmes and Kennedy are similar and both hit the scoreboard they don’t go to water when in front of goals.

I would play both but use Harmes as a stopper/tagger etc something we haven’t done in the past and I would like to see.

My frustration with Weightman has always been his consistency.

Kick five goals one week then 3 touches the next.

If he can iron that out he will be a star.

That's life as a small forward unfortunately. Having him capable of impacting the game further up the ground will go a big way to mitigate that though.

Is the alternative to not play him at all in a match sim?

He's not good enough as a defender. Probably isn't good enough as a ruckman either, but he's on the list so I'd rather we try something than not at all.
