I was young - but my memory of Gary Dempsey was him intercepting mark after mark at CHB - he was one of, if not the best ever at this.

Scotty Wynd was great too - courageous. But Demps was the best

Sections of the crowd used to count out loud the number of each mark when he played for North.

Now that my favourite Jacko has moved on to padding his retirement fund, I need to choose a new favourite. The Bont love is obviously there, but he’s on a different stratosphere than others, much like his footy.
Do you have a favourite (outside of The Bont)?
If so, who?

Is there any timeline on Jamarra's return to training. Like is it a week by week or longer than that month by month review. I hope he sorts himself out on a personal front but as supporter wanting our team to be the best it can possible be in our 100th year in the competition it is a big blow and it is hard to see him having a good season if he gets back.

Sanders grunt work in the middle and hs ability to get into space after the contest. Freija was just clean and polished. Davison is really something. He played wing and a bit forward. Gets to the contest and lays plenty of tackles. Also, he has real speed and precise delivery. Reckon he will play round 1.

Am I the only one that thinks that Jamarra not training the whole pre-season is both not really new news and not really that concerning?

To me it's just an extension of the fact that he also missed two games last year due to personal reasons, which the club was happy to defend. Not training every game to me is just continuing that.

So we have at least 2 club sources who are giant pieces of shit. That's good to know

He did ok in the ruck at VFL and a lot of track watchers day he broke even with Tim on Friday.

He's not best 22 but he's honest, cheap depth. Trains hard. Can't ask much more a guy a who has busted his arse for the club and has had to deal with horrible abuse from fans.

Also had injuries that were long term. He has played 53 games. All teams need players like Gardner. He is a solid clubman.

English has a niggle, if Jones, Lobb or JOB go down he needs to be ready.
And contrary to what may believe, without injuries he has 10 times the talent in his little ginger than trash talkers.?
