I'm not convinced he's fixed his poor disposal efficiency in one preseason. Match sim is so different to AFL footy. Let's see how he goes with small forwards on his ass. Ginni/Watson in rd2, Hill/McCreery in rd4, they'll smell blood when little Ollie gets his hands on the footy.

I can see him having a shocking game, then getting moved back to the wing. Blues will have Saad, Kemp and Cowan in the back 50, plus Doch on a wing, Cerra in the middle and Zilliams up front who can all play that role.

Screams "trap", but he's probably going to force us to pick him, lol
Yeah, it is really hard to gauge DE off preseason intra-club stuff, the level of pressure isn't there
Hadn't been looking at Hollands, tbh, but get the angle.
Archie Roberts similar price class, one I wanted to have s look at (wouldn't really know him from a bar of soap, but he seems to have been OK in the Hepell role at the end of last year).

Hollands isnt a bad kick. Hes a bit slow to get ball to boot and struggles to break tackles, forcing him to often dispose under physical pressure.

I think that'll be less an issue in the backline then midfield, where he'll have a little more time and space. Plus he looks to have gotten stronger.

I reckon he averages 22+ disposals and 90+ supercoach points. If he was a defender Id probably pick him but less likely as a mid.

What do you think about Saad, out of interest?
Different price class, but do you think he will be more prominent / free-wheeling given the Newman injury?

If Ben Paton’s nickname is lizard (Wiki) I’m not sure how that works. Surely there’s only room for one lizard in any backline 🤷‍♂️
It's the Honorable thing to do, Paton to take on a new name .....General Paton ...or Slug 🤣

They could call him "Gecko" because he changed his colors.🦎

bit of a slug is why we let him go (we have a few of them, getting less as each yr goes on)

good footballer, i think if he plays to start he'll hold down his spot, nice +EV play

blokes like stocker, clark, dow, all the same but with a bit extra in their bows if they catch a bit

sotra like coffield actually , but with 2 functioning arms and legs

Has Wayne Milera done a preseason this year?
Late to reply to this one sorry!

He’s actually come back from the patella injury really well. I saw him running with a slight limp in October but by the start of pre season he looked almost ready to go.

Aside from a hamstring awareness setback in early December he’s done most of the sessions and been back in full training for a while now.

I’d say he’s been solid without standing out. Seems to be between him and Nankervis for a half back spot. Personally I think Nank should get first dibs as I feel Milera could use some SANFL time.
