So did Will Gould. But he may have one advantage of he can compete at the level. He is effing huge. He can even monster a ruck with his build. He looks like a heavy weight boxer.

Unfair comparison. Gould was challenged in both the height and foot speed department. Edwards excels in both areas. Just needs to recover and get some game time. B+. He is a chance. So did Will Gould.

Again, I am completely lost. The comment RubbaDuck quoted was 100% about Rowbottom. There was not a "half" that was in reference to any other Swans player, including McInerney. RubbaDuck even acknowledged that it was a misunderstanding on their behalf. Nothing more to it.The post at the top is the comment of yours that RubbaDuck quoted and challenged. The first half is clearly about JMac. To suggest his thoughts addressed the Rowbottom quotient, is disingenuous at best.
I referred to your "(one) positive comment" in a general way leading into talk about the training thing. If you feel I've misrepresented your intent, feel free to respond. I'll be happy to go through it line by line.
Welcome and hope you get to learn , probably going to a game with someone that does know what they are talking about in regards to AFL , or even watch a replay with someone like that . If you have Fox Footy they are showing replays with some swans games , good luckHey Lad, first time listener, first time caller. Rugby league guy here but trying to get more into Aussie Rules. As a NSW resident figured the Swans were the best team for me so you might find me lurking and asking questions trying to figure out the game and the team. Any good resources you could recommend to learn more of the rules and such?
I have a pretty basic knowledge but happily watch some videos or listen to some podcasts to get a grip on the league in general and also the team.

Wasn't it Chad who in his first pre-season had to be told to dial back the intensity a tad in his intrasquad match sims?Cox broke them apart "Look. Both your dad's banged Chad's mum. OK?" Instantly Chad comes back at Corey "Hey Corey, that means both our dads banged your mum" Corey goes wild, grabs Chad's jumper and once again Cox is forced to pull them apart.
When Mrs Warner sees the AFL's Instagram post about the incident she can only respond with a face palm.
You spend most of your time on here either admonishing or letting us know what secret inside information you have that never eventuates anyway. I'll spend my time how I see fit just as you doToo much time on your hands with nothing to do with the thread

My vote - which may be wishful thinking - is that he is.Yes, that’s fair.
Although whilst Edwards has the right physical attributes, the jury is still out on whether he’s good enough.
Thanks for the kind words , sure you haven't graced us with your presence before . Zac jones also was toldWasn't it Chad who in his first pre-season had to be told to dial back the intensity a tad in his intrasquad match sims?
Yep to F offZac jones also was told
Skills weren't always there, but could never question his commitment to the Swans each and every game he played for us. Had the hard edge, too, that we seem to lack in spades. A few of the current playing list could take tips.Yep to F off
Yep silly jumper punches and giving away dumb free kicksSkills weren't always there, but could never question his commitment to the Swans each and every game he played for us. Had the hard edge, too, that we seem to lack in spades. A few of the current playing list could take tips.
You probably love Chad for doing the exact same thing, then.Yep silly jumper punches and giving away dumb free kicks
What are you on about , how can anyone compare Jones who is a rat to ChadYou probably love Chad for doing the exact same thing, then.
That's a by-product of how he plays - aggressive and at 100% each play, no matter who the opponent is or what the occasion is.
Give me that every day of the week rather than the faux-aggression we seem to show up with during games when things are going our way (especially against Essendon) and during media interviews after games.
Will Gould was 190cm. He is 196. I REALISED when Gould went back to Glenelg what his problem was. He was lazy. Lots of natural talent but didn't want to work hard. He was dropped for not turning up to training and lack of intensity when he was there. He nearly missed the GF.So did Will Gould.
It was also Chad who told the group on joining the Swans that he'll be Club captain one day. Chad wanting No 1 not coincidental. Interesting that he may be looking at WA pastures. I wonder if a few younger teammates who have jumped the leadership queue has got under his skin a little?Wasn't it Chad who in his first pre-season had to be told to dial back the intensity a tad in his intrasquad match sims?
just read the first line.. hahahaha. Zak Jones sure.. but you have NO idea about Warner. One of his first touches was to charge straight into a big bodied, tough Geelong midfielder - was awesome to watchIMO I wouldn't have either Zak Jones or Chad Warner very high on my list of recent Swans who have genuine hardness and aggression. Shirt-fronting, being lippy, getting into fights etc. just isn't tough to me at all.
I don't mind if our players are throwing it around at training over pre-season though and as you can see if you look around at other teams, it is pretty common across the league. There's a chance it could also be a directive from the coaches, as a response to being physically bullied in consecutive grand finals. And I like the idea of a young kid like Cleary or Sheldrick or Warner Jr or Snell learning - OK you've got some flog trying to get under your skin, what are you going to do about it?
But it is futile if we don't learn to channel our aggression into the actual game itself - the ball, or the man with it. I grew rather tired of watching a lot of our players act like tough guys when they had the chance to mouth off, only to have some truly putrid and soft efforts when it mattered.
