Feel like there was about 40 missed arm chop frees, seems like the umps just wanted to blame wet ball for players dropping it instead of wayward spoils.
The sheer number of times where we were tackled without the ball because a Melbourne player dragged a Giant to the ground when he was just adjacent to the ball was also insane.

My lineup for the next game against the Hawks in two weeks:
Ash Taylor Whitfield
Stone Buckley Idun
Kelly Callaghan Ward
Greene Cadman Stringer
Jones Hogan Daniels
Briggs Green Snooze

HH XOH Thomas Cogs
Sub: Wehr
I’d play Gruz or Keefe instead of Thomas. Hopefully Binga is right with his hip.

That is a very strong side. Few people going to be pleasantly surprised with how good Stringer is.

Hope so.

Brown was okay in these two games but didn’t quite grab the opportunity with both hands (literally and metaphorically). Stringer probably comes in if hes fit. I imagine they’ll also want one of Gruzewski or Keeffe in the team as the third tall/back up ruck.

I don’t think Brown will get another game for a while. He is not up to the physical part of the game that someone in his role should nail.
He competes well enough and his athletic ability is unquestioned.
The hard edge/killer instinct is missing to be a seriously damaging player.

Cadman needs to stop engaging in the wrestle, it just gives the umpires reason not to pay an arm hold on him and allows a third man in to take the mark every time. He's not strong enough yet - keep the distance, crash the pack, bring the ball down, he does all of this well and that's a great start to a career.
