It's worth about 20 points more than pick 8 to use 23 and 25 for their academy kids.
Probably not enough though, I imagine someone has offered them a better upgrade.

The Hun says that the AFL will only agree to the GWS-style trade if the net change in points is >200 points. Hawthorn could try and trade GWS 15 and 18 for 8, but the difference is about 500 points there, so the AFL would block it. I think we have the 2 picks that give the highest benefit to GWS without breaking that 200 point barrier, at least at this stage.

I wouldnt, two picks inside the top 5 and 3 overall in the top 25 isnt that bad. I may be off the mark but that would be just about better than every other team in this draft? Yeah we lost a very good player but we arent losing that badly.

If those 2 top 5 picks end up being guns it could be very good result for the team.

He won't go to psd. Just cause his preference is the Saints, doesn't mean he and his manager don't have a contingency plan. Opportunity to play with the Hawks will be very appealing for him as a second option.

Err what? Why would you get him for 5 if thats paying overs according to your list manager.

Surely you go the draft at that stage and let Carlisle slide to Brisbane or Carlton.... or maybe GC grab him early and use their AFL power

If you're willing to grab him at 5 then just give it up now and stop all the crap.

The Saints logic is outstanding. Pick 5 is overs for Carlisle but if you don't trade with us and give us a second rounder we'll pay overs regardless.

We shouldn't budge on Carlisle and 41 or whatever we have.

Trelor and Dixon are out of Contract. Ryder was on contract. They're all moot points. Your club is trying to win the trade and this will be remembered. It's a dumb move when you're in a market where you can only deal with 17 other entities.
